Windows Explorer constantly crashes

Ok, this is something that just recently started happening yesterday. Or, this morning to be correct. Windows explorer keeps crashing constantly. I didn't do anything to cause this though. It will stay open sometimes, but usually ends up crashing. So...how do I fix this? And im using Vista too. {Yeah, another vista problem XD} Please, someone help me

Whenever a annoying problem starts happening like that, I normally just do a System Restore. Usually fixes everything.

Strat>>>All Programs>>>Accessories>>>System Tools>>>System Restore

And restore to latest date, like yesterday. I think thats where it is in Vista.

I had a similar problem with my PC, system restore is the only way to sort it out cost free.

Mhm. System Restore should work, if that doesn't a reinstall is your only other cost free way out.

I installed Microsoft Visual Studio 2005. A month later, I installed Vista.
Now, IE7 wont even start. I get a message that I need to Debug using
VS2005 that I installed. If I uninstall VS2005, It says that I need to start the uninstalled program and turn off selected dubugger. If I go to microsofts site, it says that I cant download IE7 becuase it comes preinstalled with Vista and I have no reason to download it!

Good thing I use Opera.

Ugh. Just backup your data and wipe the hard drive, then throw away your Vista install disc (trust me, vista is CRAP) and install XP.

Vista is new. I remember everyone saying that XP sucked when it first came out and they were going to stick with 98. When there are better drivers for vista you will realize it isn't crap. I have been using it for 4 months now bug free (and am happy with it).

I would not have upgraded to vista if I had know there would be such a difference in the basic way it functions, but My dad works for the local university. They sell Vista Ultimate Upgrade Discs for 20$. Isnt that like 210$ off retail?

That's a good point, and I have to admit, when XP came out I decided to stick with 98, but once XP matured, I switched. I'm probably going to do the same thing with Vista, though I'm sticking with XP for now as it's not only what I'm used to, but it's also what works for me and my fairly lowend machine (It's just a Pentium 4 2.4GHz with 256MB of DDR ram, a 128MB radeon 9000 AGP videocard, and a tiny 40GB hard drive).

I recommend switching to firefox.
