Video Recording Consoles
Hey guys
Just wondering how would one connect up their game console to a computer and record video footage of the game?? My PC is a few years old now, P4 2.8 and 1gig ram. The video card is a WinFast A340td 128mb with DVI and TV Out. Is it up to the task? I wanted to record some Gamecube/N64 footage.. Just wondering how its done ![]() Cheers Nick |

Re: Video Recording Consoles
Your computer is good enough to do it... but you need some hardware and software first.
What I use is a pinnacle DC10 plus capture card. ![]() I use this alongside Avid Liqid 7. (This can be used with Pinnacle 8 if you can't afford and expensive program) I capture it into the program with Avid (or pinnacle) and edit it there. For sound input, I used converters to convert the L and R audio connections to plug into the line in to capture the audio as well. This seems a bit complicated, but that is the way I do it. Maybe somone else has an easier way of doing it. PS: Here is something I made in Pinnacle Studio using captured video from my gamecube. A Brief Look Into my GC Library |
