Couple of head's up-
1) In my experience, this works better with Google Video than with YouTube. I've never had a problem getting Google videos, but YouTube doesn't always work.
2) The file will save as an *.flv. You'll have to search for converter to make it whatever file type you want (*.wmv, *.mov, whatever).

It says it saved as: Unknown file type

If you have firefox this works. Download GreaseMonkey, it should be downloadable off the firefox site. Then, go to the video and at the top of the page, right click, save it as a .flv video and convert it. If that doesn't work, copy the URL and go to www.vixy.net and they will convert it for you.

I'd try http://www.keepvid.com.

If you want it in .mov or .avi, www.vixy.net is the best choice.

You have to manually put in ".flv" as the extension for the file. you don't neccesarily have to convert the file either, as long as you just want to watch it on your computer. There are many flv players out there, but I use this.

Can anyone suggest a better one? I'm all ears.

When i download stuff off YouTube i usually use this. It saves them as either a .mp4 or PSP or some type of mobile phone thing if you're into that stuff. I just use VLC to playback though.
