Desktop Icons HELP PLEASE!

Umm the other day I was messing with my themes and all of the sudden My icons got the dumb background behind the text.(You can do this by going to display in control panel, then hitting the apperance tab, then clicking advanced, then its right there.) Anyway I want to get it to where there clear again. I've done this once before and fixed but I don't remember how. Some one help me!

Go to Control Panel > System (Or, it's system under the classic view, not sure what it is in the default XP view.) > Advanced > Performance > Settings > Then check "Use drop shadows for icon labels on the desktop." (It's near the bottom.)

LOL it did absolutely nothing. I'll keep working and update when i can.

Usually when you just upload a allpaper straight from your files to your desktop it will get that. Have you changed your wallpaper recently?

Assuming you have Windows XP:
> Right-click My Computer and select Properties (Or Start>Control Panel>System)
> Select the Advanced tab
> Under Performance, select Settings
> Check "Use drop shadows for icon labels on the desktop"

If that doesn't work:
> Right-click the desktop and select Properties (Or Start>Control Panel>Display)
> Select the Desktop tab
> Select Customize Desktop...
> Select the Web tab
> Uncheck "Lock desktop items"
OR
> Right-click the desktop and uncheck "Lock Web Items on Desktop" under the "Arrange Icons By" sub-menu

Download RocketDock. If you are a PC user it makes all your icons arranged at the bottom or top of your monitor. It's arranged like a Mac OSX look. It takes up less space than the icon shortcuts actually do !
