Taking videos of the computer screen

Can someone tell me how to do this? I want to make videos of stuff. Because stuff rocks.

Uh, anyway. If there's a free program or something that allows this, can you please tell me?

Try Fraps or AviScreen
Fraps is www.fraps.com - it has a free version, but it will display the logo in a corner.
and AviScreen (not as good + no sound - but completely free) is http://www.bobyte.com/AviScreen/index.asp

Edit: CRAP.

AviScreen won't install.
Fraps won't work for Maple Story.
Camtasia is pay.

I really wanted to use AviScreen, but it won't install (I'm getting error messages).
Fraps just... wouldn't work. I pressed F9, and there was no screen recording.

Fraps should record. Make sure your F Lock is activated if your keyboard has that before pressing F9.

It's got F lock on, so it should be working, but it's not for some reason. O_o

Just a heads up. ^^ And I meant the forum rules XD So watchout.

Anyway, AviScreen's not getting an installation error anymore and I got it working. So thanks guys!
