This might not be it, I would have to check, but perhaps it's because you have the Background Layer locked?

Edit: That doesn't seem to be it. Is it unavailible for all files, or just that sample? I would guess that it has to do with that layers properties, either way.

Might want to rasterize that font layer too.

Or right click on that font layer, then hit blending options, then play with those.

It's unavailable for all of my files, and it still it...Rasterizing didn't work either. I'll try blending options.

Well, does anyone actually know why, or atleast could give me their theory?

Try checking your filters folder and see if all the files are there and whatnot.

I'm a "GIMP-er", so I don't know if this is applicable to Photoshop, but make sure that you've enabled the Alpha Channel, you're working in RGB mode, and that you have (or haven't) selected what you want to mess with.
