Instant Messenger of Choice?

Alot of you people have Instant Messenger programs, we know. What's your choice IMing Application?

I prefer MSN Messenger 7.5 (Must. Update.) over AIM. Partially because alot of my friends on other forums have MSN.

Oh, a thread of this sort has been made before, I apologize.

Re: Instant Messenger of Choice?

I use MSN, AIM and Google Talk.

I like Google Talk the most. It seems to be the cleanest to me. MSN is also nice, most of my friends have it too. I barely ever use AIM though.

Re: Instant Messenger of Choice?

I use Trillian; which uses MSN, AIM, Yahoo Messenger, IRC, and ICQ all in one. If I hard to choose between one of them; it would be either MSN or AIM.

Re: Instant Messenger of Choice?

I prefer MSN, but most of my (local) friends use Yahoo.
So I use Yahoo for chatting to friends and MSN for chatting to my cousins or people I haven't met before.
Although I get more use out of Yahoo my favourite would have to be MSN.

Re: Instant Messenger of Choice?

I use MSN, it's pretty simple and it's easy to use. I do get Yahoo IM packaged with my wireless broadband, but I've never used it.

Always wanted to try Skype, I hear nothing but good things about it.

Re: Instant Messenger of Choice?

I have always used MSN Messenger, and I still do a lot. It does happen that I use Google Talk when I check my Google Mail if my friend happens to be online, but otherwise I don't actually have Google Talk installed. It's good, but not much point to installing it when only one person I know uses it.

Ah, and I use the 7.5 version of MSN Messenger. The new "Live" version is quite buggy, kept crashing on me, and likewise with other people.

I use MSN Live, for the possibillity to share files. If it wasn't for that, I would be using Gaim.

I use MSN and AIM; my school is pretty much split between the two, so most just use both.

Likewise. Though, even if I use both, I like MSN better.

AIM 5.9.6089 with AIM Ad Hack.

MSN would be nice if it didn't let people have 512-letter names.

Re: Instant Messenger of Choice?

I prefer MSN Messenger over any other IM program, really. I like the feel of it, and all the different smileys you can get. :3

AIM is okay...but, to me, it's too plain. bleh.

Re: Instant Messenger of Choice?

I definitely use MSN or Windows Live Messenger as they call it now, it's by far my favourite. I used to use AIM and Yahoo, but they both slowed down my computer so I said 'nevermind' to those and I have stuck with MSN since then.

Re: Instant Messenger of Choice?

I have Windows Live Messenger (With MSN Plus!), Trillian, and Google Talk. I use Trillian to talk to people I know who use AIM and I log onto extra MSN accounts with it too. I log onto Windows Live with my main MSN account to use all the features. I have Google talk, I don't know that much people who use it though. I like it mostly because it tells you if you have new mail (even though there is something for that already). I talk to people who have yahoo on either MSN or Trillian (with my YIM account).

Re: Instant Messenger of Choice?

I use AIM. About 90% of people I know have AIM, and hardly any have MSN. I do usually have MSN up and running, but I only have about 5 contacts, and all of those contacts have AIM..
