Internet download help

I was donloading some files off of the internet. The little box came up that said they type of file that it was. The box also asked me if I wanted to Open, Save or cancel. There was also a checked box that said "Ask every time I download a flie like this."

I unchecked the box, thinking it would just save instead of asking me. I did not work. Now it will open the file, but not save it.

I can not figgure out how to uncheck the box. When I click download, it just opens the file. It does not give me a chance to recheck the box so that I can download it.

How do I make it so that it asks me if I want to download or open again? I do not want to just open the files!
