DS Modifying/playing SCUMM games

Hey! I've seen on Youtube videos of people playing Secret of Monkey Island on their DS. I'm wanting to know (as someone not techno savvy) what exactly I'll need to hook my DS to play these old games... as well as where to get the hardware and ROMs. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

SCUMM Games on the DS - A friend of mine has got quite a few similar things on his console... i'll ask him in more depth later.
