IPOD help!! ASAP!!

Ok, I dont have much time here and I need to know how to download songs onto my IPOD. Here is the problem:

At my moms house far away from here I downloaded all of my music onto my IPOD. Now Im at my grandmas and I have two songs I want downloaded, problem is my computer keeps saying I will have to get rid of all my 100 songs and replace them with this computers library of songs.

Is it possible to either:

1. Work around this and download them both somehow

2. Copy all the songs from my IPOD onto the computer, delete them from it, then download them all again with the other two I want?

Ipods are really a pain in the ass when it comes to downloading music....

Re: IPOD help!! ASAP!!

Is your iPod set to sync with you Library? If so, it will try and duplicate the Library on your computer on to your iPod -i.e. if you only have those two songs on your computer, it will try and match your Library by deleting everything else and replacing it those two songs.

You need to enable the "Manually manage songs and playlists" option.

Try this: (From Apple support page)

1. Open iTunes.
2. Connect your iPod to the computer. iTunes presents a message that the iPod is linked to another music library.
3. Click No.
4. Click the iPod button in the lower right corner of the iTunes window.
5. Click the "Manually manage songs and playlists" button.
6. Click OK.
7. Click the Eject iPod button in the lower right corner of iTunes.
8. Close and re-open iTunes.
9. Connect the iPod.

(Here is the full page)

I hope this helps!

[Edit] If your using iTunes 7, it's a bit different.

You just need to click on the iPod under devices and look under "Options" and check "Manually manage music and videos."
