I remember the long fun years of dial-up. As does my old computer. we had it for 4 or so years then ditched it for comcast. Dial-up I swear did something to my computer because now no matter what you do it will 'twitch' at you and take forever to load even though now it is on comcast.
So though I am dial-up free, I can still feel the pain of some of you who have it. I agree with everyone, it stinks, alot.
Yeah, Dial up sucks, but the only other choice for me is wireless, and it costs about $200 to install, and then about $60/mo. Thats a total rip. And the worst part is that My house is a dead spot, meaning that we would get a speed of about 200kbps and the average is
2mbps. franky, the waiting is worth it.
Dial-Up? What's that? Oh, now I remember! The awful 56kb internet connection I once had.
You can actually live with a Dial-Up nowadays? I don't think so... It should be called Dial-Down, really. If you wanted to download a video you had to wait at least 30 minutes and that's why I never downloaded one.
*cries* I took me 6 hours to download 25 megabytes...and if you get a faulty conection, which is almost always, it costs you 25 cents (It all adds up)
...at least you get unlimited downloads... *cough* the irony *cough*
