programming program.

hey guys, what programming program do you think is best for creating games? do you know any easy ones? I'm on visual basic with direct X right now

easy...ha, no way...VB is a good start, but HEX is (at least as far as i remember) the defacto standard. But aside from that C++ and Java ive heard of being used.

belive me, VB can create powerful games, using it with direct X of course.

hmmm, i can't think of any off the top of my head, i just usually get hacked/custom made ones from my buds at school or at the Zone.

I believe Halo was coded in VB.

Just in case anyone cares, the Express Editions of all of Microsoft's Visual Studio products (Visual Basic, Visual C++, Visual C#, etc..) are all free for download for this fiscal year only. So if you hurry over to MSDN and download them, you essentially get the best Windows compilers out there for free. Not a half bad deal.

As for Halo being coded in Visual Basic.... I really, really, really, really doubt it. While it is true that VB is Turing-complete, the general consensus seems to be that its a gimped language. I'd bet my right leg Halo was coded in C++/Assembly.
