Uploading

One of my friends and I are trying to upload pictures onto the computer (it's a digital camera) but we can't figure out how to do it. We've tried everything, but nothing will work. And the camera is a vivitar. If anyone could help... THANK YOU.

Re: Uploading

Just connect the USB cable (that should have come with your camera) into the little slot on the camera and then connect it to your computer via a USB port. Then go to "My Computer" and there should be something that says "Removable Drive." Click on it, and viola! There's your pictures.

Re: Uploading

If you tried everything, something would have worked. Either that, or nothing worked like you said, which means it is pointless asking because if you tried everything then there would be nothing else to try.

Also, it would be helpful if you told us what kind of computer you have and what kind of digital camera you used, and preferrably what came with the digital camera.

Then what's the installing thing for?

And e_alert, the computers a mac, and the camera is a vivitar. And it came with a cord, and a CD.

Meh, it's too late, now, my friend left before you two posted. Thanks, though.

Re: Uploading

The CD is for installing silly stuff you don't really need. Hehe, I didn't know you had a mac, so I can't help you any further. Sorry.

Re: Uploading

To be fair, my brother's camera came with a CD that you needed to install to connect the camera to the computer, so you may have to run that just to be sure. I'd say most digicams require an install of some kind.

And yeah, the cable is to connect to the computer. As long as it's USB, and the software CD has a Mac version on it, you shouldn't have a problem. Otherwise, you should convert the images to another comp, burn to CD and then put it on your comp.
