Why cant I use transparency?
I was making a text image at flamingtext.com, and the image backround was transparent. Well when I saved it and opened it again, I discover that the backround is white. Why the hell is that happening? I saved it as a GIF and everything. A little help here?

Re: Why cant I use transparency?
You can't just copy and paste one frame if it's an animation.
Right click on it, save as whatever then open it in a gif editing software package like Adobe Image Ready, then it will show all the frames with transparency. What are you actually doing with it? Do you only need one frame, provided it has more than one? do you have Photoshop? Even if it is only one frame the transparency should still show if you save first.

Re: Why cant I use transparency?
When you save as a gif, go into the options tab or whatever your window allows (there should just be a few option fields below the save field, or it could pop up in a different window. if not, click on any "options" bar). Then check the "preserve transparency" and "preserve gif compression" or something similarly phrased. DO NOT compress as a jpeg, which you can do even when saving as a gif. It's easy to miss but look carefully.
Hope that helps |

Re: Why cant I use transparency?
First, its not PNG transparency. Second, its not an animation, its just one frame. The preserve gif transparency thing might help. I'll Try it and see what happens
