Well, it should... Do you have a media program installed in each? Is your mac really old and can't support audio CD's? Give us a little more detail into the problem.

Re: CD Problem

Hrrmmm... That's strange... It should work. I mean, if you have the highest version and all then of course an audio CD should work. Have you tried putting in your CD, then dig through your files and manually pull it up onto your iTunes?

Re: CD Problem

If it is store bought not burned, the new mac should have no problem reading it. Is it a new Imac, or a laptop......

Try and play other audio cds on it. Get the newest version of Itunes. If all that fails, your computer has an issue. If you can play other audio cds, there could just be somthing up with the format of that one disk.

Re: CD Problem

Well, obviously there is somekind of diskread error. It must be formated specificly for PC or burned on a type cd that is not compatible with emac hardware. Sorry I can't help you out .

Re: CD Problem

Hmm if the AC/DC cd is newer than the other ones there is a chance that there is some anti-pirate software on there which makes it for your Mac unable to read the cd

(I really hate that on cd's! Most of my cd's I can't even play in the car cd-player because of the dumb anti-pirate software I actually need to crack them, burn them to listen to in my car! I need to 'pirate' them to listen to!)

Sorry that's my little grudge. But try ripping the cd with other programs sometimes it will work with one program but not the other. So try Windows Media Player, Winamp, Realplayer and any CDripper you can find on the internet.

Re: CD Problem

If you mother's PC lets you rip the CD, simply transfer the MP3 files to your eMac via data CD-R.

Re: CD Problem

Does anyone you know have the same CD? You might try running that CD on your Mac. Or, try burning a copy of the CD then playing the burned CD.
