Remote Desktop Access

Ok, well i made a thread about a music server but this is way better than that. I found a site called MyIVO.com, and it is like awesome. What it is a remote desktop acess site, in other words, u can access your computer from anywhere in the world via the internet. It is soo cool. I think anybody that has problems wih leaving things saved at home on their computer and need them, b/c there is a file transfer program that alllows you to take files from the host computer and put them on the one you're using.

I personally wouldn't feel very comfortable opening my computer to the internet, no matter how secure they say it might be. Besides Windows has its own remote desktop access which I feel is much more secure as you can't search for that so easily and only can be accessed by computers you allow. Sounds like a good idea but I rather take the files with me next time I'm around or just go back and forth.

those things aren't very secure and it is best to just close the port that it is running on, windows firewall is a piece of *pie* and you shouldn't rely on it. Get zonealarm, the basic is free and every time they have an update (every month) you get another month long free trial of zone alarm pro.
