How to...

How is it that you make a gif? Do you need a program that you must download, if so can you give me a link?

Also, how do you take video off an explorer? Like here- http://youtube.com/watch?v=7w3UqowkN...r.%20wonderful

Re: How to...

I use The GIMP, but I know for a fact that there are other programs out there. For example, even Windows MS Paint lets you do it, just there aren't any options that come with it. Most good programs will either run you a short trial or make you pay altogether - the GIMP is the only good free one I know of.

Your last question wasn't very specific, so I'll try to answer the best I can. The video is flash, so you'd need to save it then use some sort of converter (if you can find one) to change it to another sort of video type. Then again, I have no idea if that was your question. If you were wondering how you can save it, I don't think it's possible. It's possible to "cheat the system" and use source codes to download it, but I gave it a quick look over and it seems as though it's encrypted in some sort of way. No luck with that.

Hope those were relevant to your questions.

Re: How to...

You can save a GIF off of any basic image editor, but you're going to lose one heck of a lot of quality if you just save it right off of MS Paint. I recommend saving it as a bitmap or PNG first, then using Irfanview (http://www.irfanview.com/) to save the PNG or bitmap as a GIF. The reason for this being Irfanview doesn't distort the GIF's colors nearly as much as other programs. If you have simple colors or images, the image won't be distorted at all. Take my sig, for instance. I saved all the frames as PNG, then resaved them as GIF using Irfanview. Not a single pixel of color loss, and with MS Paint, I would have lost tons even on a simple image like that. Now, with a great big image with lots of colors, you'll lose a little, but not as much as you would with other programs. Sometimes you'll get lucky, though, and not lose any. Try Irfanview, then see if I'm right or not.

Re: How to...

if the video is streamed then you will need to use a third party program to download it.
if you just watched it then go find it in your temporary internet files or:
- view the source
- find the direct link
- file > save as

No, not off youtube.com. At least, not an easy way, and I am not familiar with cache-dumpers.
