Right now, everthing works out pretty well for me, but of course, I don't do hard-core gaming on it at this point. I'd like to, over the course of the next year or so, upgrade my DVD drive to a DVD-R, put more RAM, and upgrade my video card as well.

I do alot of computer graphic/artwork on this computer, so the moniter was an absolute must for me... and I can say that I'm very pleased with the purchase.

that is because the athlon XPs only can handle up to 333mhz FSB unlike the 64s which range between 1000mhz-2000mhz FSB, shouldn't matter though, Athylons and Pentium Ms are not very bandwidth sensitive.

No....I'm pretty sure she means 96. At one point, I was using very old Compaq that only had 64MB of ram. Yeah..I'm hardcore

Yeah, you can run it with 64mb, but it's really really slow. Takes like an hour to rip a CD.

No, no.
Ripping is copying the CD data to the hard drive, burning is exporting the data from the HD to the CD.

And AOL is a memory hog anyways.

Hah. It takes 25 mins to start this piece of **** up, and another 25 to shut down. I'm constantly getting the "low on memory" bubble, etc. etc.

I know my RAM sucks, but is my harddrive, etc. okay?

I'm hoping to get an upgrade in my RAM soon. 200-500MB would do me fine.

You should get a 512 stick that is very stable and your processor and harddrive are fine.

you can find them as cheap as 270 after rebates. after the 7900is out in two or three months, expect them to go down maybe 10$, they are also coming out with lower end cards, the 7200 and the 7600 FYI.

Dude...6800GTs are pretty much the same price.
And who said cheaper? Running two cards in SLi shoots up your powerbill.
Besides, One 7800GT can closely match two 6800GTs in SLi.

Lastest tech is the only way to go.
