Windows Media Player trouble
OK, I am having trouble watching (most) videos on WMP. Whenever I start a movie it says unable to download cedec, or something like that. And then, it has the right sound, although the screen turns into an Ambience (water to be exact).
So, can anyone tell me how to run these videos like they were meant to be?

Re: Windows Media Player trouble
Well, I don't know what to say, but I'll take a guess. Is there a glich in the downloaded material? I'll try to get more info, or help.

Re: Windows Media Player trouble
Just sounds like your trying to run a Xvid or Divx video. Which just need a codec. Which can be found here:

Re: Windows Media Player trouble
Ugh, problems. It won't stop playing the ambience, even though I supposedly have Divx. Is it JUST a codec I'm suppose to install? Because I got a Divx movie player too, which doesn't make since, since the file is a WMV movie <.<

Re: Windows Media Player trouble
If that problem isn't solved at all, try using VideoLan, the best media player to play all types of media without these hassels. It can play .avi, .mpg, .mov, .mepg, .omg, .vob, and more. What it can't play is something like .rm and perhaps .wmv files.
I had the same problem with Windows Media Player not playing videos properly, so I just use the VideoLan. Try searching the Internet for this spiffy program.
