AVI -> WMV converter

I like to make videos. It's a hobby of mine. The problem is, I use Lumiere Video Studios, which is an excellent program, but it doesn't allow me to build WMV files. So, I build AVI files instead, that are about 80 MB big- too big for me to send to friends online and stuff. I have Windows XP, which has the Windows Movie Maker, but that gives me an error when I try to load the AVI files into it.

So, can anybody suggest a good AVI -> WMV converter? I would really appreciate it! Thanks!

WinAVI Video Converter... I use it all the time. Good program you can covert anything to pretty much anything.
