Re: IE or Firefox

I prefer Firefox over IE mainly because of the tabbed browsing. When I come across websites that Firefox won't run I switch over to IE though .

Re: IE or Firefox

Asking this question is like asking "Would you rather make out with a supermodel or have you **** nailed between two boards?" Internet Explorer is an absolutly horrible browser. If you still use it, I highly recommend switching.

Re: IE or Firefox

I use firefox, but it is not all that better than IE. It's quite overrated.

Re: IE or Firefox

Opera, Firefox and IE all are used on this PC. I like opera the best though just seems that little bit faster to me.

Re: IE or Firefox

I hate how many pop-ups appear on IE! I used to use it and I switched to fire fox a while ago and there are almost no pop-ups. I used Safari at school and I think it is lame. Fire fox forever people!

Cool FIREFOX!

Firefox is so much faster, blocks many pop-ups, and is just plain better. You should use it if you don't already.

Re: IE or Firefox

I use Fox for customization. I'll assume Fox is safer, although that's solely based on the articles I've read; I used IE for little more than a month before changing. Anywho, here's a quick comparison chart I stole off Google, main points highlighted in pink.

And, as a useless statistic, 92% of computer users have IE as their default browser.

[Edit] Man, that was some ****** cropping.

I've never used Firefox but I really don't see how either could be better then one another.

Re: IE or Firefox

I use Firefox, personally. And it seems that it doesn't randomly take up 98% of my processor power, and force me to crash it at random, now that I upgraded to 1.5. That's a good thing.

This poll is obviously skewed by who looks at this forum. According to my information, 79.5% of visits to ZU last month were on Internet Explorer, and 14.5% were from Firefox. The rest was a multitude of other browsers, the next highest being Safari at 2%.

Re: IE or Firefox

I use Firefox. At this point, it's mostly for themes, extensions, and rendering time. Internet Explorer really does seem to display pages noticeably slower. I have no security or stability problems with IE6SP2, however. It runs and actually does so safely (Partly due to the restraints I've implemented), but Firefox simply does it better.

Which is the main reason I use it, Firefox runs much smoother and faster then IE. The interface is much better then IE's as well.
I'm not bothered about the themes/addons though.

Re: IE or Firefox

Firefox for customisation and all the neat little add-ons. I used I.E for years though and never had much of a problem.

Re: IE or Firefox

Personally I love my Safari. But in the decision between Firefox and IE Firefox wins.
