Affordable and reliable webspace, and site maker?

I'm looking to make a site, but I need a host. I'm currently looking at www.fuitadnet.com as a possible host, but I want to know if there are any better services that can be suggested? I'm looking for decent rates, my own domain name, and, more importantly, reliability. Thanks for any suggestions you give me!

Also, can somebody suggest a decent HTML editor (besides Frontpage Express), or a tutorial on how to use HTML? I could really use one. :embrsd:

FuitadNet and Racknine are both good deals in my experience. My previous website and its host have been on FuitadNet for years without any problems. My current host and website are on Racknine.

Macromedia Dreamweaver is a popular webpage editor, but the most powerful tool around is and always will be Notepad.

Maybe you should try Tripod. I've never made my own website, so I wouldn't know.

The good thing about it is that it's free (as far as I know). So, that's all I got. Sorry.

Tripod, like all free hosts, has it ups and downs. Mostly downs however. It's an advertisement hell. They show a helluva lot of ads, more than most servers I know. Lot of pop ups. I think it still deletes sites without 60 unique hits/month. Yea, tripod sucks.

Re: Affordable and reliable webspace, and site maker?

well, here is a list of a few sites that may help:

<b>Free hosts</b>

http://www.t35.com
http://www.byethost.com
http://www.gwgaming.net

<b>Paid hosts</b>

http://www.bluehost.com
http://www.lypha.com
http://www.websitesource.com
http://www.netfirms.com

These sites, even the free ones, offer really good webspace and other hosting options.

You shouldn't go with a free host, they arn't very reliable. Get a paid host if you are thinking of making a serious site. Also, apparently Lypha isn't that good.
As for site making, I'd just learn HTML.
