My laptop is messed up... help?

I need some help. Usually, I do most of my internet surfing and anime downloading and whatnot on my laptop, right? Well, just 20 minutes ago, the screen just suddenly went out.
Now, you may be thinking either (A)My screen is just broken or burnt out, or (B) I messed it up myself.
Well, it isn't (A), because it has done this once before, and when it did that, it came on within a day and a half. Although, the problem has persisted, so I am getting worried.
It isn't (B), because alls I was doing was editing my post on good ol' ZU...

Anywho, it did this last weekend too, and I am getting pretty worried.
It is an HP Pavilion zt1155, running on Windows XP.

Also, the last time this happened, when I turned it on and it worked, I plugged it into the charger and the color of the charge confirmation had darkened. Just a weird thing that I would like to know about also.

please respond

Im surprised Hps are normaly good. Do you leave your labtop on all day? because thats not a good idea because of how tight everything is. Does its fan still work if it is then unplug it and let it set for about an hour while its off. If the fan isnt working then its probably overheating worse, you need to either clean out or replace the fan. AIM me BB and let me know how it works out ok.

Well, yeah, I love hp's
I can't get on AIM, since all my stuff is on my laptop. I'll try leaving it unplugged for a bit and see if that helps.

EDIT: w00t, thanks J3, works like a charm.

1. How could it be that the screen would go off after twenty minutes if I was right in front of my computer keeping it active?
2. It wouldn't have the same effect, if it was a timer, it would just be a screensaver that would go away if I did any action on the computer.
3. READ THE GODDAM THREAD!
4. Sorry for yelling
5. But really, you should. As of yet, all your posts have been fairly spammy, plus, you didn't even bother to read the FIRST POST. If you did, you would have known that I was keeping the computer active. If you had read the THIRD POST you would have known that the problem was fixed.
6. You also did this in the "A new OS by... microsoft?" thread. You told us about Vista when everyone knows about it, and you didn't even read the first post, because it would have told you we were talking about singularity. You probably just read the thread title.

Sorry for chewing you out, but I have ZERO tolerance for spam, and Im just having a bad day.... Other than the turkey......

Re: My laptop is messed up... help?

I was only trying to help, like everybody else. If you are having a bad day don't take it out on me. The advice I gave you worked on my PC. About the spamming - I am only giving my thoughts and opinions because that is what the forum was made for. Well, I don't need this headache from anybody.

Re: My laptop is messed up... help?

For your problem unfortunately your best choice is to call the HP Compaq Pavilion Technical Support Centre.

Request that you receive a case number for an Authorised Repair Centre to take warranty procedures and conduct anaylsis on this problem.

This is the quickest way to get your problem solved. If you have a HP Supportpack or a support agreement with HP then ensure that you mention your serial number for your support agreement so all agreement guarantees such as turn around time are met.

Not sure if this is 100% accurate as this information is for Australians but it should still be the same seeing as you should also go through the Indians.

Good luck with your problem and if you need help getting a case number or getting to the right centre than please PM me and I will be happy to point you in the right direction.

We all need to take a deep breath and read threads that we reply in. It was announced that the problem was fixed posts and posts ago.
So, when you're posting in a thread kitties, unless it has like, 20+ pages, read the whole thread why don't you!
