A little help?

I'm not sure where this belongs, so I'll put it here.

I just bought a microphone and it was working great. But i downloaded a voice changing program for fun. But it wouldnt work, so I deleted it. now my microphone isnt working. Can someone please help me?

Hmmm... Well he's a list of making it to work:

1.Make sure everything is plugged in (lol prob already did that)
2.Goto Control Panel>>>Sound and Audio devices>>>Goto Audio and under Sound recording click Volume>>>Make sure "Microphone" is set to max.
3.Under Sound and Audio devices, Goto the tab "Voice">>>And at the bottom click "Test Hardware" might take awhile but once its done... See if you can hear yourself..
