I can't get my scanner to work!

Heya, I've been tracing for a while now and would like to post up some of my work. Unfortunately there's two problems.

1: When I try to scan something it just ends up printing a copy of the picture.
2: when I do have it scanning right there's no activity whatsoever, I press the start button and nothing happens!

I've tried setting up the aplication, and it still doesn't do anything.
My printer is a Dell Photo 924 all in one scanner/printer/copier. Thanks for the help!

When you find out the problem let me know. I've been having somewhat of the same problem. I posted a thread here and got no help.

It was more of people didn't know what the problem was, not that they didn't want to help.

To begin: I assume you have the correct drivers for your operating system? Go to your manufacturer's web site and download them, if you haven't already, then install them.

Also, since you have a combined scanner and printer, are you sure there isn't some setting in its options menu that you can't change? The default behaviour might be to print out things that are scanned, for example.

I'm trying to find the options, but I did get it to work for scanning, now it won't go back to printing X_X

And I'm not sure how to get the new "drivers" since my driver installer is pretty much screwed. It keeps trying to install the same device every time I turn the comp on and fails. And when I tried installing the printer drivers with it that failed.

EDIT: It does print, but since theres nothing on the "scanning" bed it just prints a blank page instead of the picture I want T-T

Actually, it prints just fine from the scanning bed, but when I try to print something from the computer it says "sent to printer" and does nothing.
