How many usb ports are on your computer?

mine has 9. freakin alienwares have like 20 usb ports. how many are on your computer?

I've got four

what kind of computer is it?

I have 8 on my computer and two on my monitor.

Also, I like bananas.

I have 12, along with multiple extension hubs..

I got 6, four in front and two more in the back.

the computer im using right now, my sister's laptop, has 4. 2 on left, 2 on right.

Three in front; two in back.

I only use a maximum of three at a time, so five is fine.

Two in the front, I don't know how many in the back. Anywhere between 2-8.

My laptop only has 2.
I have no idea how many my mom has on her computer, probably at least 6 including exstensions.

3: two small speakers by computer

4: surround sound in living room

5: psp

thats odd that some people only have 2 and 3. i could understand 4 or 5 for something like a laptop, but they usually have more than just 2 or 3.

If they have an older computer that was made before USB was used for practically everything, then it would make sense for them to have less ports.

Six (6).

8 and 2 firewire connections that I never use.

12 on my computer, 3 on the monitor(minus one used to connect the monitor to the computer)
I also have a header I'm not using which would let me add a bunch more... I won't be using it, no need.

two firewire as well. I never use those.

My current computer has six, and my new motherboard that isn't yet installed has support for twelve. The number of ports doesn't really matter too much beyond a certain point, and it's not like you can use them all at once without all that bandwidth choking up the controller.

true but sometimes its' a convenience factor.

keyboard
mouse
web camera
cord for camera
cord for mp3 player
xbxo360 controller
two open slots in the front for other game controllers or USB ports...

I have a few extras admittedly, but it's still nice never needing to take anything out. It gives me options if I ever want to add in an external drive or two, and it's paid for.

I'm looking forward to USB 3.0
