Can and How can I overclock my GPU?

Alright, my computer is excellent, but it is also not perfect. It is not a gaming laptop, but fits alot of my needs. However, on games like CoD4 and Fable TLC, I find myself lagging if the settings are set too high. Is it possible to overclock an ATI Radeon 3200 HD graphic's card? If so, how?

My Laptop's Specs:

System:
Windows Vista Home Premium(Service Pack 2)
Gateway MD2614u
BIOS - Rev 1.0
AMD Turion X2 Dual-Core Mobile RM-72 2.10 GHz Processor
3.00 GB of RAM
64-Bit OS
DirectX 10

GPU:
ATI Radeon 3200 HD Graphics

Thanks for your time,
Alucard

I wouldn't recommend overclocking your video card on your laptop. It just isn't very wise.

Don't.

Re: Can and How can I overclock my GPU?

firs thing to get out of the way... the 3200 IS NOT A GRAPHICS CARD, it's an IGP(integrated graphics processor)
as others have said... OCing + laptop... stupid idea. OEMs agree, it's generally impossible to increase the core frequency on those things unless you manage to modify the system's BIOS. Are you good at ASM? if not give up even though you might have around 40-80% headroom...

that said you have TWO things that you'd want to overclock, the core(which you can't do) the main system memory. Chances are your system's memory is locked through BIOS as well so your only alternative is to attempt to modify the memory timings(which for the, it gets too hot fanatics, doesn't affect the heat output too much)

see if memset works for you. Happy tweaking.
