Re: Signature/Small Work Showcase [V.III]: Photoshop Peril

It's interesting, but a little busy, and the colors don't really match each other. THe left side seems kinda weird to me; I like the right side a lot better. The rainy look worked out well; seems like fluorescent signs on a rainy night, which I believe is what it actually is. :>

Re: Signature/Small Work Showcase [V.III]: Photoshop Peril

It's very pretty, I think the size of the piece is perfect. My only problem with it is that the blur is so powerful that there's nothing to focus on, your eyes are left to wander. Why not make on particular sign (possibly one on the right) stand out just a little more, so that people don't feel their eyes being pushed away from the piece entirely? Other than that, though, excellent job! High five.

All right guys, Tacheon has no inspiration at the moment. I just threw this together for a contest. What do y'all think?

Re: Signature/Small Work Showcase [V.III]: Photoshop Peril

I feel like there's way too much going on in the signature. It's like this big mess of effects and it's ahrd to find one thing that's the main focus. This seems to be a trend here on ZU, but I think sometimes it's best to go with the idea that less is more.

Re: Signature/Small Work Showcase [V.III]: Photoshop Peril

Oh, ok. Sorry, I wasn't meaning to overload it. The theme for the contest I entered was 'Adrenaline', so I tried to make it rather chaotic. I guess I went a bit overboard, though. =\

Thanks for the critique.

It looks okay, but I just feel like it could have been more if there was less stuff going on everywhere. For instance, I only just noticed now what the image is of, is it a guy about to jump out of a plane?

No worries.

Seems a bit too over contrasted, and the chaotic lines on the left are too distracting.

Made this for a SOTW on another site:

Drew the bars myself. nothing too huge, I know, but I wanted to try out doing some effects of my own.

Re: Signature/Small Work Showcase [V.III]: Photoshop Peril

Its nice and clean, but the colors are to contrasting. I think keeping the colors blue and green would be better, as a rainbow colors against a monochrome background really distract the eye.

Re: Signature/Small Work Showcase [V.III]: Photoshop Peril

I like it. Personally I like the contrasting colours and I think it really gets your attention better that way. I think the pastel colours over the top of the monochrome background of the storm work really well and I can't really put my finger on why.

In this thread is just a handful of the stuff I've made with Photoshop.

Too many CD4s, and most of your renders are just floating. And it doesn't look like you did much except for cover some image up with those CD4s. Only one I somewhat like is the B&W piece. Text isn't all that brilliant on any of them though.

Oh, and--

Re: Signature/Small Work Showcase [V.III]: Photoshop Peril

You've got the idea, you just really need to to work on your focusing skills and fine-tuning.

Alot of those sharp C4D renders completely take away from what could be a decent signature.

Re: Signature/Small Work Showcase [V.III]: Photoshop Peril

A thing that would make the samari dude cooler is if you made all the white transparent. That would make it like 2x better, in my opinion.

Or, of course, it could look ridiculous, in which case I withdraw my statement. >:3

Re: Signature/Small Work Showcase [V.III]: Photoshop Peril

(Double Posting is good for your soul)

I'm entering an ameteur contest (you all probably know of it) and I made 4 versions of my signature. I know it's kinda lame, but meh.

1. Normal, no sharpening.

2. Normal, with crappy text.

3. Sharpened to 75

4. Sharpened to 80~85

What say you?

Try sharpeining it to about 50% no text. Should look better.

Re: Signature/Small Work Showcase [V.III]: Photoshop Peril

Normal looks just fine to me, but it feels a bit washed-out color wise....

I was trying a new size and style, and this is the result.
