Mario Character Sig Showcase

Hey! So I decided to revive my old idea for making sigs of the Mario characters. I'll do as many as I can possibly get renders for. Well, here are the first two. And it just so happens that the first two I've got are the Mario brothers themselves. :]

Peach


Bowser


Bowser has been added. Up next is Yoshi. :]

I've also got to fix Luigi up nice. *rubs hands together* It's time to put the crit I got in the showcase thread to use.

Wow, Yamari, you've improved. I like that Mario one. Do you think you could throw up a Tutorial? I'm intruiged to see how you dod that. My only complaint is the text, and lighting on the Luigi sig; The lighting isn't right, and the txt would look better in a colour that isn't white, like you did on the Mario one. Other than that, I think yu might have finally earned my respects as a good signature artist. Nice one.

I was actually considering a tut for that Mario sig myself. I'll have to do it when I have the time, though. Tuts take awhile for me to make.

Of course not. I actually really like both Wario and Waluigi. I'm gonna do them after Yoshi. Yoshi is after Peach, who's up next.

Your style definately has potential, and your sigs show it. Clean it up a bit, and you'll be cranking out some amazing graphics.

Quick crit for the Daisy sig - I love the border, but the white C4Ds covering the background look kinda messy, try ditching them completely or lowering their opacity so we can see more of the background. Text could be worked on too, try a small sans serif font to the direct right of Daisy, or to the left, near her arm. :)

The rest of them are nice, though. You've definitely improved. :P Good to see you handling critique so well now. I'd like to see a tut for the Mario one.

Oh, and I love how you're making the text their catch phrases. xD

Try ditching text until you know how to add some effects. It looks boring at the moment.

I've always handled critique since I've been Yamari.

Anyway, thanks, Pani. I was going to change that font on the Daisy sig anyway. It's a bad choice and I don't know why I went with it. >.<

lol thanks about the catchphrases. I had a hard time choosing between "That's right!" and "You know it!" for Daisy, btw.

Sorry to double post, but this is important. I'm afraid I can't make a tut on the Mario sig. For some odd reason, the psd file has disappeared as well as the png. The only place it exists is on Photobucket now.

The same thing happened to the Luigi sig as well.

Bumped cuz I dont want this thread to die. These sigs are realy good. The only thing I dont like is Peaches pose. It looks sort of... useless and flowless.Obviously more a problem with the render than the sig, but meh.

Very cool signatures. I really like the border you put on the Daisy signature. Don't forget Rosalina!!

The text in the signatures look a little odd, especially in the Peach signature. Other than that, keep up the good work!

I think so. I forget what its link said when I got it off Mario Wiki. I use that site most often when I'm looking for a good Mario character render. As for Rosalina, I'll do her sometime too.

Aarrrr. The text is all the same. Try something new. All you do with the text in these is slap them on in a pretty font, and set them to overlay/soft light or reduce opacity or something. Try something new!
