Gimp Animation help?

I tried my own animation sig. I can't get this image to overlap all the time, to show gagged edges over the video. This is the original:


So far I have this working:


I want the sig to look like this one.




I used Gimp. Suggestions anyone?

Can you not go to each seperate animation layer and put the jagged layer thing over the top? I haven't used GIMP animation in ages, so excuse me if I'm wrong. :\

EDIT: Nope. It does this weird "Floating Layer" everytime I try.

I figured it out:

Part of the animation is on the first layer, making it so the transparent part on the first image you showed disappear. Check your first layer, get rid of the sig part, not the animation, then recopy the first image on the top of the animation. I could probably do it myself, if you need me to.

I don't know why there's a white bit in the animation.

I need the part you want over the animation if you want me to fix the Pit one.

Oh wow you did it!! The white part is probably the text showing up. I'd move the image down a bit more.

But wow it worked. I assume you used PS? Which is much easier. But if you used Gimp can you tell me step by step what you did?

I used the GIMP. I have Photoshop, but it scares me...

I was just messing around. What I did was select the transparent part of the sig (use magic wand tool and click there, it was filled in with black for me). After that, I went down to each layer of the animation and deleted the parts I didn't want (Ctrl+I for invert, then hit delete on each layer of the animation). Last, I just moved the sig part to the bottom (didn't delete anything on that).

Then just save it as an animation.

I might have some questions. Is it possible (if not too much trouble.) To take screenshots of what you did? I'm a very visual learner.

I just got them on YouTube. If you have Firefox, there is a plug in to download videos from Google Video or YouTube straight from the internet. Then I just converted it to a gif in GIMP and added it in.

Step 1:

Open up your sig, and re-paste your sig part by copying it in. How I did it was right click on the one in the first post and clicking 'Copy Image'. Paste that as your first layer.

Step 2:

Use your Magic Wand Tool and select the black part of the copied sig-part like so:

Step 3:

Hit Ctrl+I and go to every layer of the animation and hit the delete button, so that it fit into the transparent pert of your sig.

Step Four:

Go to your sig layer and select the black part again, hit delete. It should go away and the animation should become visible.

Then save it, I think the default settings are what I used.

i've got that plugin =D!! but does that work for ImageReady (the program that comes with Photoshop) ???
