My first Signature

What do you think of my very first signature?

Frankly, it's terrible.

The font and colour do not go well, nor with the rest of the image. The background also does not go with the Chief. The quality is not the best, and looks very cheap and tacky. Might want to add a border on there as well.

Sheesh, cut him some slack, it's only his first sig. No one is outstanding when they first start out. My first sig was taking an image of a Zelda character, like a 200 x 500 picture, and then slapping my username above it. He actually went and put effort into making a banner and doing modification.

For your first sig, I think you have the potential to become really good. ^_^ I mean, you have the blending of the character and the background down. The background doesn't necessarily go well the Master Chief, but it's a start. Sigs usually should always have borders, no matter what. They complete the sig, in my opinion. You have many options of borders, so go wild with experimentation. As for the text, that is a hard technique to master, very hard indeed. I usually don't bother putting text in, but if you do, be sure it goes well with the background and picture. Style and color is key.
