Re: Signature/Small Work Showcase

A relatively simple signature I cooked up for Nox.

Overlayed a few effects and tweaked with some little brushes here and there.

Re: Signature/Small Work Showcase

I like it and I don't really say this because it was made for me, but because of the overall simplicity of it. As much as I like effects in a graphic art piece, simplicity can look pretty well if done correctly and with the right effects.

Re: Signature/Small Work Showcase

Hmm, Yami. I don't really like it. I think that really light contrast on Mida makes it look weird. The part where Eros said abouut the arm is ok but it's all messed up I think.

Eros, your sig is nice. Simple with a cool effect. Nice.

Re: Signature/Small Work Showcase

Paul - that's certainly interesting but hard to make out. It certainly makes me look closer. What did you make it in?

Yami - your sig is good - midna is very eye-catching and well done, but my only misgiving is that the left half seems somewhat bare and empty. My eye keeps straying for detail that isn't there. But, I suppose, if Nox likes it then that's all that matters.

Re: Signature/Small Work Showcase

Yami - It's different, but I like it. The way Midna blends I like, and also how she stands out aswell, with it being bright around her head. Nice job.

Paul - I don't like where the text is placed, honestly. But other than that it's pretty different, but I reckon it needs a bit more of a background in my opinion, though don't trust me xD.

Here's one I made just recently, for Skar. Zant doesn't really blend, but I wasn't really aiming for him to blend in this. The background may be a tad too bright..? Oh and no brushes, filters only.

Re: Signature/Small Work Showcase

If you used brushes, I'd eat you. jk... But not really.

Well, you stated the flaw of Zant not being blended in. It ruins the whole sig pretty much. Your stuff is original, seeing as no one uses the dot scanlines like that. Also, you could have blended that text more, but the brightness is fine.

Paul, well I think that it needs more detail. The pen tool or brush tool, whatever you used, with the glow effect does not look too nice, in all honesty.

Re: Signature/Small Work Showcase

Ed6 - I agree - the blue is very bright and 'in my face'. I can't help noticing that it's very nicely rendered though, and Zant works very well considering.

How about this?

xD. Don't worry, not one brush used

Awkin - I like it. It seems nicely blended to me, and your background looks simple yet nice. It's a neat sig and pretty well done, in my opinion. Great job .

Re: Signature/Small Work Showcase

Awkin - Like Ed6 said the sig is well blended and is very simple and not overly complicated. The pic really fits with the calmness of the sig. I think it's a great job.

This is my first sig with C4D. I would really like c and c on it. I didn't use any brushes either, just C4D and filters.

Re: Signature/Small Work Showcase

Pyroth: Hm. Nice. Really chaotic. o_o Though, on lower layers, try Gaussian Blurring them 1- 1.5 to give the sig depth. xD And maybe a new layer, 100px soft brush, right on the light area on the left side, then put that layer on Soft Light. ._. The text could be better, but it's nice for that type of sig. xD Nice, overall. n_n I hope to see more from ya.

Ze uber pwnness you will now bow to.

First off, Pyroth's sig. Meh, it's a nice sig and what Zero Hex told you is good info buuutt, your sig is missing something...FLOW! A good sig must have a nice flow, especially when using C4D renders, their placement is crucial. If you don't know what flow is, then it is the way the signature seems to move around the picture. Like when the two sides of a sig seem to come in on the picture or angle out, or it might look like it's blowing to the side. If you still don't get it PM me or ask here. Anyways, it's a very confusing sig and it's all over the place and I do think it could be a bit darker.

Now, to mine. I was looking at some stuff today and learning some new things and like Pyroth's sig it has C4D renders. Now, ladies and gents would you all turn your attention this-a way.

Be prepared to feast your eyes on what shall be known as - Ze Uber Pwnsomeness.

Any comments or CnC?

Re: Signature/Small Work Showcase

Definatly not your best sig.

I dislike the render It doesn't really match.

The background is nice though. Good colors

Re: Signature/Small Work Showcase

Nice background, the text could use some work, and the render doesn't match the background...

Nice siggy, though.

Re: Signature/Small Work Showcase

Nice! The only thing I find wierd on it is the lighting of the sig itself and you (the render xD).

Lovin' the concept of it. If the dimensions were a bit bigger, I'm sure you could do a ton of more cool effects. n_n
