LTZ'S HISTORY COMIC
This isn't my first sprite comic ever made (I made an entire story of sprite comics in an Avatar forum once), but this IS my first comic posted on ZU.
I love history a lot, and I always facinated making a comic about them. Well, here's the first one: ![]() That dummy on the 7th panel is supposed to be Gollum btw. How is it? Good? Sucky? Anything I need to improve on? The dude on the top of the TP box is Alexander Hamilton if you were wondering. Enjoy! New comic up soon. EDIT: CRAP! I forgot to add an "E" rating at the title, and I can't edit the title anymore. EDIT II: AAAND I apparently do not understand the prefixes. I did "ORIGN" because it was a sprite comic that had nothing to do with videogames...

Re: LTZ'S HISTORY COMIC
Actually, it's a lot better than I was expecting.
Not that I expect nothing out of you, I was just thinking it was going to be something else. The only point that confused me a little was that Adams and Washington look pretty similar. At first I thought it was still Washington and that Jefferson was being a dolt. I'd make them a little more different, else some others might have the dumb too. ![]() Overall, I think it was pretty good. It looks somewhat dated, as in it is simple in design, but that very well may turn into one of it's charms. Are you planning on improving it, as in is this an alpha version, or is this the look you want? I kinda like this version - Esp Jefferson's facial expressions. ![]() *edit* Not to be a prude or anything, but your title comes off as needlessly self-destructive. I don't know if it was your intent to demean yourself, but this actually isn't half bad, really. Negativity, or the appearance of it, can turn away potential readers. Just something to keep in mind. ![]()

Re: LTZ'S HISTORY COMIC
Thanks. I wasn't trying to be self-destructive with the title. It was more sarcasm since this comic is about HISTORY, not videogames.
I didn't realize I made Washington and Adams alike. Hmmm...Maybe I should change the skin color and perhaps the eye color of Adams. (Or at least give Adams a brown outfit). I think this is somewhat of the style I'm going for, but I'll do some work on the speech bubbles and give them some shade. (Suddenly has an idea for Adams getting new clothes) Oh yes, I think I know just what to do. I have an idea for a plot but I'm not sure if I should suddenly have people from different eras meet each other (Like Napoleon Bonaparte with Ulysses S. Grant). Well, I'll see if I can get to work on the new comic shortly.

Re: LTZ'S HISTORY COMIC
Yeah, good idea.
Here's the new comic. ![]() When you said a "burly" TR, I just had to make this comic, and I think I fit the personalities quite well. (I always saw TR as this hot-headed person). Custer? Meh, I don't like him that much, so I play him as the wimp. I worked on the speech bubbles a bit. (Turns out if you typed the words into the panel without coloring it first, it works wonders) If you're unsure of who the characters are: (I'll list out the characters that didn't shout their names or have their names called) >Fredrick Douglass is in the first panel >"Stonewall" Jackson Um, I know I'm probably making too big of a deal on this but...I don't mean offense if you were offended by "Stonewall Jackson" being in the same comic as Fredrick Douglass. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I know this is a history-based comic, but if I just retell history through comics, then I'LL start getting bored of it, so I'm just putting everyone together. Wonder what will happen to Custer? Find out in the next comic.

Re: LTZ'S HISTORY COMIC
Sorry. Didn't read it due to the disclaimer in the thread's title.

Re: LTZ'S HISTORY COMIC
Okay, you may be confused at the comics that just vanished. Louis shares your confusion.
![]() btw, Denise's accusing LOUIS of drinking too much wine. She's not inferring you guys/girls are. (if you were wondering) Like the Plot Ninja guy said, I was making a plot where Custer gets kidnapped by Napoleon to look for this maybe "end-of-the-world" gem...but I realized that this was supposed to be a COMEDY comic featuring the historical characters. I'll edit the post where Custer fights the indians to make it more sensible.

Re: LTZ'S HISTORY COMIC
(Glad ZU's back up)
Well, I couldn't resist paradoying famous movies we've had. ![]() These are pretty obvious, but to those who never seen a movie (and how did you let that happen?!): From Panel 1 to 5: 1. Night/Dawn/Shaun/(insert other word) of the Living Dead (Instead of a market, we have a wagon) 2. Titanic 3. Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark 4. Star Wars: A New Hope 5. The Jungle Book (A classical Disney movie) "Stonewall" Jackson and Beethoven already had movies dedicated to their lives. (Plenty of historical people had like Helen Keller in "The Miracle Worker", Davey Crockett in plenty of "The Alamo" movies.) I'm just happy that ZU's back so I can keep posting these comics. EDIT: That weird thing below the wagon in the first panel is a dead oxen. Custer's essentially trapped and surrounded by the flesh-eating zombies. (I just didn't want to add the blood and gore since kids come here too.)

Re: LTZ'S HISTORY COMIC
Here are two new comics.
![]() Sorry if I offended anyone out there who are deaf or blind. If it makes it better if I made it too offensive, I'm deaf myself. Yep, when Louis was a teen, he was playing the organ in his church at Coupvary, France (his home). He was like the 19th century Ray Charles. I always facinated about Louis and Ray Charles jamming on the piano, but since the only other famous piano guy I can think of that was actually alive in the 1800s and lived close to France was Beethoven. Oh, and credit to whoever made the movie box art...thing. (I know I'm supposed to credit the pplz who makes the sprites and background, but not sure about things like that) ![]() I had a lot of fun doing this (My favorite was doing "The Ring" thing). I wonder if I can paradoy "The Dark Knight" or "The Iron Man" next. Oh yes, I think I'm seeing where this comic's going. If you want me to paradoy "TDK" or "IM", let me know. EDIT: About the "Miracle Worker" panel, I had no idea what to have Helen say. Yes, she said "Wah-Wah", but I had millions of other things floating around so I left it up to your imagination as to what she's saying.

Re: LTZ'S HISTORY COMIC
Here's the new comic.
![]() This looks interesting...Is the kid's name really Christophe Lebeau? What does Napoleon want with him? and maybe I should have worded that panel differently, the one about him leaving... Also, we now see the modified Adams sprite. Now we can tell he's not a balding Washington. ![]()

Re: LTZ'S HISTORY COMIC
Halloween is upon us!
![]() In just two weeks, the kids are going to be walking around in Iron Man/Batman/(insert Star Wars character)/Link costumes for trick or treats. I'd better get to work on that comic so I can post it on Halloween....
