Yeah, I'm gonna be comparing Washington to "The Hero of Time" for a while...this is just too good of an opportunity to miss.

Whaaa, I'm such a blockhead! Don't know where my thoughts are right now...

Anyway, I like that idea of comparing Washington to Link. And it's also well drawn.
Better than I could.

Re: LTZ'S HISTORY COMIC

Hm. Interesting take on the whole thing.

Also, to answer a question from earlier - we don't really see Guy Fawkes as a major villain/hero/whatever. He just...happened. Tried to blow up Parliament, failed miserably, and was forever remembered for it. *shrugs*

Thanks.

Oh, and thanks for the reply. In America, we (and this is from what I understand) see Benidect as somewhat of a coward who was soley out for his own comfort and glory and he was willing to do anything to get it. (Of course, it all backfired on him in the end)

I guess it's because Benidect did it in the middle of a WAR's what got him into trouble.

I just wanted to make sure I wasn't making a saint out of a sinner, as they say.

Re: LTZ'S HISTORY COMIC

New comics!!

Here's what I like to consider is the sequel to the "Halloween Comic"

I tried to make Jefferson be on his hands and knees going "ROTFLMAO", and have his face depict that...but I reallized I drew his face looking like a deranged maniac.

This was made when I was bored one day and tried to make Chuck Norris jokes.

I wonder if this is a big fourth-wall breaker and irony comic?

Re: LTZ'S HISTORY COMIC

Thanks! I thought having Louis do Chuck-Norris jokes would be cheesy.

I was reading a bunch of Helen Keller jokes and decided to do some Louis Braille ones....with a twist.

I wonder how many jokes I can do with Louis? I do know I'm plotting a story arc between him and Denise though.

I have few ideas of my own...but I was wondering: What do YOU want to see the historical characters do? Nothing sick or graphic though. Bring in suggestions and I'll make them into comics.

It may take time for me to make comics featuring people I haven't "sprite-a-fied" yet, though.

Re: LTZ'S HISTORY COMIC

New comic! Starring the recently made sprite based off of...EQUIANO!

I've been a big fan of Avatar since it's premire (sobs that it is now over). I've made an Avatar sprite comic once and now I'm fulfilling one of my dreams: To see what element our historical people would have.

Notice that the panel coloring follows the Avatar pattern: Water, Earth, Fire, and Air.

As to why Louis is barefoot- I'm basing him off of Toph, the blind Earthbender who teaches Aang Earthbending. She can "see" as long as her bare feet are in direct contact with the earth. (And that probably explains why she's so good at Earhbending. She' earthbends to move around!)

For the non-Avatards: (and those who may not get what's going on)

Nero and Custer= Firebenders-(Of course, Nero's the one doing a good job. Poor, poor Custer...)
Louis, Teddy, and Stonewall= Earthbenders
Jefferson and Lincoln= Waterbenders
Ludwig Van Beethoven= Airbender

EDIT: With hinesight, I probably should not have had Equiano say "Extinct". Just pretend he's saying "Died out".

Re: LTZ'S HISTORY COMIC

You need to fix the way your text is placed into your speech bubbles. The text should NEVER touch the outside edge of the speech bubble, and the bubble should wrap nicely around the text without too much white space. This will require choosing center alignment for text and breaking the text into more lines in some places.

Re: LTZ'S HISTORY COMIC

Okay, I noticed that there were a lack of thanksgiving-related comics, so I feel an explanation is in order:

Firstly, Barack Obama has made history by being the first black president of the United States. (I voted for him) I can't let this historic moment pass me when I'm doing a history comic.

Secondly, I made a Livejournal account and let's just say that it's very addicting.

Thirdly, I hope I got the word/speech bubble balance right. I'm thinking of improving the comic some (like give them mouths and probably give them some shading).

Fourthly, I know author inserts are somewhat bad, but I couldn't think up of a better way to deliever the joke.

Re: LTZ'S HISTORY COMIC

Two new comics!

I shrunk the words down so I could put more words and speech-bubbles...but I may have made it too small.

Let me know if you have trouble seeing the words and I'll fix them.

Re: LTZ'S HISTORY COMIC

I'm thinking of improving the comic bit by bit with working on background and the speech bubbles.

I'm making new backgrounds so that the characters won't appear to be in this endless plane of green.

Anyway, the story arc of the turkey continues!

Re: LTZ'S HISTORY COMIC

I think I just found the speech bubble type I want.

And yes, that is their house in the first panel.

You pointing out my mistake gave me an idea: What if NO one knew what the turkey/chicken thing was.

I kinda like the outfit Jefferson's wearing. It looks very cozy.
Sorry if I barraged rentias with an image of a shirtless Thomas Jefferson with bandages. Louis will be happy to lend you awls to "take care" of the mental image.

I don't know what I'm feeling...but for some reason, I feel that I'm moving away from the hesitant old days of making sure I kept it as realistic and historical as possible and nearing the realm of insanity, only it's with historical characters

Is that what I should be doing? I dunno. All I know is that I'm having fun doing it!

Re: LTZ'S HISTORY COMIC

ya know, I don't think anyone will care what you do with your, I repeat YOUR, comic...this will further be cushioned by the fact that a 100% custom sprite comic exists NOWHERE!!! *ahem* yes quite, and what happened to the story of "Christophe Lebleau"?
