Re: Screamer
You want more info about the comic? Here:
Non-Screamers: They're basically regular humans. They are vulnerable to scream feeding, so they are usually alert. They hold a massive grudge against screamers, and will attempt to annihilate them. They, however, are allies to good hearted Half Screamers. Half-Screamers: Humans that were scream fed, but recoiled halfway in the process, or, rarely, born with both a screamer and a human parent. They are usually hated, but most of want to be a normal human. Some of them are taken in by the non screamers, or they join the cold hearted pure screamers. They can enter a stage called "full screamer form". They are not as stabilized as pure screamers, so they are stronger or weaker. They usually go crazy at this stage. Pure-Screamers: Humans that are fully scream fed. Their minds are brain washed, and they lust for power. Some of them are loners, or are in a group. They try to blend in the enviroment, and hopefully try to scream feed humans. They can enter a stage called "full screamer form". Their pupils turn golden, and their eyes turn coal black. Most screamers can stabilize this form, or go on a savage rampage. |

Re: Screamer
I believe he is using Maple Story sprites, no?
The story seems like something lifted out of a generic anime, but it is interesting enough in its own right. The graphics look good, but like others, I often have trouble as to what is actually going on during the comics. When making action-oriented comics, it is imperitive to make what action is taking place crystal-clear. |

Re: Screamer
Graphical prowess~ Wow, this comic looks great. Great with a g and a t. and a rea!
This is really good, and a serious plot! I've got a lot of 'impressed' in my opinion bottle. Pros+ Pretty! Was soooo good to look at, it brought a tear to my eye. The scaling of sprites, close-ups, etc. Example being the round portal evil thing with the dragon on it. Everythin looks very pro and impressive. Action! Things are happening, the story is rollin' and the punches are flying. Lots of throwing and flying, and you put in onomatopoeia! That is what comics are all 'bout! Speech bubbles! I really like the victory pixel font and the black outline it comes with. Quite good. The shading is very good in this case. Cons- Corny dialogue! Lot's of "I'm going to really start trying now" and "You're pretty good, but I'm better" and "it's time to get serious", lines which subconciously date back to digimon. I think it'd be fun to live in a world where people really talked like that, but try not to do that in your comic. I hope that's helpful. No Worries= Your story is a good thing to have, but not the strong point. I really am not an expert on storyline so I'm not sure what to say, but it wasn't bad, so no worries. Anyway, you've definetely put some talented work into this and as a series I give it an 8.6/10. That dialogue thing is really something you need to think about, but this is really a high grade. |
