I was hoping the contest would come out first.

Hello !
I am trying to make a good comic with sprites of "The legend of Zelda:The Minish Cap"
But I don't have certain sprites ...
Can any one help me find the folloing sprites (In minish cap style)
1:Adult Link
2:Young Zelda (Like the one in OoT)
3: Deku
4:male and female Zoras
5:Some animals
6:Kokiri Kids (Girls and boys)

I'll put the name of the people who help me in the credits

And you could look for your sprites here. Four Swords Adventures also has MC style sprites. Hope you find what you're looking for.

We don't want to ban all spriters, and we have no immediate plans to do so. We LIKE spriters. In fact, we're one of the only sites that allows sprite comics at all.

Smackjeeves needs jeeved and smacked. I went there, and it was boring as a bowl of styrofoam peanuts. The forums are slow paced, I though.

It all started with some guy making a horribly bad sprite comic, so a few spriters ganged up on him. Then, the guy reported them, the guys get a big IP-ban from the Admin, and the remaining spriters go wild. Spriters were getting themselves banned on purpose and moved to a small, IPBFree forum ran by Stoopidmahn and couple other banned dudes trying to revolt or some ****. Now, the Admins are killing off the spriters.

I tried to get the Sprite Comic Award back up for this Summer 08 awards thing, but SS is as stiff as ever and I was once again pounced by trolls. Oy. That was probably my last time dealing with ZU community affairs. Also another reminder of why I decided to revert back to the Shanty and stay out of community affairs outside this area.

Calm down, Blizz. I understand where you're coming from, I was going to argue the same thing, actually, but then two things came to mind.

-Nobody has really made a hand-drawn comic so far this year that I know of. Award rules specify that you can't award someone for a position unless they have been active in that position since the last awards, so I'm not sure hand drawn comics will even factor into this summer's awards.
-It doesn't matter if its "Best Sprite Comic Artist" or "Best Comic Artist", I think Cody is bound to win the award either way. The awards are based on popularity just as much if not more than they are based on merit, so I'm sure Cody will win, since the rest of ZU is more familiar with him.

But in the end, it doesn't matter; its certainly not something to get excited about. If the regular members of the Shantytown really cared what the rest of the community thought, we would have shriveled away a looooong time ago.

Well, I was just saying that this was another reminder of why I'm basically through with participating in ZU community events outside the Shanty Town.

I need help making my comics you see my Paint is not working like it's supposed to and I don't got
Photshop so can any one tell me what other program to use to make my sprite comic ?

I use Paint Shop Pro 8 to make my comics. It's an older version of Jasc's (now Corel's) Paint Shop Pro image editing software. It has all the features of a professional image editing program like Photoshop, and I bought mine online for about $20.

I've also heard about GIMP, a free image editing program you can download, but I've never used it. That might work. Also, Paint.NET is a image editing program that's free to download and easy to use.

I've been using paint since I was just a tiny noobcake in the big world of zu. Now I have come back and I feel like a stupid noobcake again with its new friend request and clubs and stuff. Did I mix this up for myspace. Well sprites......sprites......sprites hmmmm I guess I will start up a new project and get back on track nice seeing u guys again!
