The floating skull guy is very well done, shaded to perfection.
The missing clips in its wing are also a very nice touch as well. :3 grade A sprites right thar

Not that I'm super-ultra experienced, but it looks to me like it's...well...flat. And the wings are flapping forward-back forward-back, like it's looking down at you. If it is supposed to face forward, then the wings need to go up-down up-down.
