The endlessly changing sprite game

Rules

1. No recolors. You may only recolor if you are adding a new visual pleasure(no idea how to word that >.<).

2. You may not have more than one pose.

3. try to keep it as original as possible. This is not a must, but preferred.

4. You can edit/add as much as you like but try to keep it recognisable; and recolor as much as you like.

didnt I say must have some editing done to it?that is just a recolor. Can the person who decides to take the next position. And personaly, you just made it look more eye burning with the hair style thing you did >.>

Hmm... The thought crossed my mind to close this and say 'take it to the Spriter's Hangout', but since it's a game I'll allow it.

However, no discussions about the sprites itself, okay? Just keep it with fun and games for now. Just follow Rantick's rules and it should work out fine.

There's a difference, although you're not exactly a spriter so you can't really tell, apparently. In spriting, a recolor is a sprite that has been taken and had some colors replaced with other colors. An edit is where you actually do something. Like, change the pose or make new hair or give him a sword or make him screaming.

That's pretty basic knowledge, I'm surprised you didn't pick that up somewhere in the ghetto. Actually, I'm not surprised.

Anyway, both of them are sorta cheap, because you're just messing with other people's work, its not really yours. But, If you can't tell the difference, then you're not that smart.
Customs > Edits > Recolors > Rips as far as how much spriting ability is involved.

Recoloring is a form of editing. There's no arguing against that. I'm backed by both common sense and the Internet spriting community. So please don't make a huge argument out of this. It would be folly.

I'd have to agree with Blizzaga. You may be right in saying "Custom>Edit>Recoloring", but Recoloring would still count as an edit in this game.

Although- Rantick created this game. So if he strongly opposes recoloring, we can just assume we have to edit here. :\

I have nothing against your game, Rantick (in fact, I like it. First game I've ever seen here), but I think you should make some stronger rules in your first post. For example, it would be wise to state what kind of editing you want and what you don't want in your first post.

One more question. How far do you want the editing to go? Could someone replace...er..transform the sprite into something completely different like Giga Bowser?
