The Grand Sprite tornament

its Half-term. I break up for the summer in 6 and a half weeks.


NOTE: For 6 weeks starting Monday I will update around 5 pm exept on weekends. But on SJ It will update normal time.

This comic is one of my favorites on ZU. Really.

The grammar and action are all great, not to mention the good spritework and scaling. I feel priveledged to read it. Really.

I tried really hard to think of something to complain about. I got nothing.

Although you could have a 'BAM' or a 'CRACK' or 'KAPOW' here and there. If you read a Spiderman or Superman comic book you'll realize how much they add to a punch or kick. Some swooshes and zooms would make the movement smoother. Onomatopoeias are an essential to any comic with action. Rantick, with your talent with photoshop you can probably make a spine-chilling snap.

If you need good 'KAPOW' fonts, go to BlamBot.com. I recommend DeathRattle and BadaBoom BB. Other than that, your comic is wonderful.

The problem for me is I dont know the password to the adminestrator account(my mum), so I cant download new fonts. But I am getting ready for some awsome effects made on Apophysis 2.02

Well the reason I didnt update yesterday was because I was working on some nice sprites. In comic 10 I tried out some effects with the speech, so I will see how you like it

Hmm.. Can it be more 'tournamenty'? Like.. You could have interviewers going around, or a crowd cheering them on, or an actual arena.. That would be cool.

Unless this is just the prelims. That could work too.

prelims. Plus I dont realy have any arena backgrounds that arent real-life or horrible bittage

yeah, I got good replys on SJ about the new bubbles so Ive decided to keep them until I get complaints or anything. I just think it gives it a stronger feeling.

anyway, Just to let the world know, Ive got the "We're all goin' on a Mad Dash!" song stuck in my head >.> I love that game

Also, this is the biggest comic ive ever made unless you count frames in an animation as a panel. So Im realy proud of it

I am aware that in the 7th panel there is no line conecting Sasukes words with his sprite.

Its my birthday in 24 days

Prediction: The guy on the floor'll jump up and kick the other guy in the face!

Cool...
But is there gonna be a plot in which, behind the tournament, a conspiracy will take place?

I feel stupid for some reason xD

The speech letters n' lines were better before. The blurriness isn't as good. The burnt-smudged ness isn't... as good. I don't know why. But they were great before.

Action of Greatness! It's really good action. "I see an opening!" they sound like people who know what they're doing in fighting. But please, please, can we get a KaPow or two? Please? It would be so much better if it said KASMACK when he kicks him instead of 'take this' 'ow'. Well you can leave the 'ow'.

I missed the weekend so It is a big comic. I missed todays as well so tomorow will be double update or big comic. This is the biggest comic ive evar made!

I also tried to do some sound effects. Not realy sure if they are all that good >.>

Whoolio! And the expletives and sound effects were... better than nothing! An improvement. Try simpler color effects and more matching fonts.

okay, there might not be any more comics for a while. And heres the explanation about no updates for so long

well first of all my sister went on my Dads computer because she was banned off of hers, without his permission. Then when he found out, I got the blame. I was banned off of the computer till my birthday (2nd July, 5 days ago). Then I finaly came of for about 30 minutes. But at that time the oven in my house decided to shut itself off and broke nearly all electricity in the house. So then I had to wait till now for my dad to fix the computers in the house.

NOTE: There were like a page worth of comments and stuff here, but we got hacked and it all got deleted. So yeah, thats why its 12th comic jumping to 20th
