MODS! PLEASE ACCEPT THIS CONTEST!

Heeeey... Wat's up? Welcome to The Spriters Showdown, pretty much a tournament to find the best spriters on ZU. This is my first time hosting one of these, so bare with me...

WHAT TO DO: Ok, first, you have to enter the contest by submitting the sprite that was chosen to be created. Then, we'll have three judges decide which ones they like the best. THen, the winner gets a nice trophy, and we do this again. This contest will be each month. OKey? Okey.

THE RULEZ: No spamming, flaming, being an idiot, or just plain being stupid. *COUGH*Hettman*COUGH*

Ok, since this is round 1, heres the challenge: Create a sprite of Makar.

I'm sorry to shoot this down, Stoopidmahn, but...

1. I am already working on a sprite comic contest/tournament.
2. It was approved by Hylian Z, who is a moderator.

I wasn't going to break it to you guys until I finished up with school, but there you have it.

I'm hosting the Summer 07 ZU Sprite Comic Contest.

Wait! Hold up now! Your contest is different. Yours deals with sprites alone and not comics.

However, you still need to clear the idea with a moderator first.

Yeah this would be awesome if it were approved, But hey this is a contest about sprite's and costume's at that.
This will weed out all those who clam to be awesome spriter's, because you can't submit stuff like a simple recoloring or a pretty'd up Edit that you call your own it's all about skill and fun Oh but Might I ask if Lurrrre! can be a judge?

Did it in like 20 minutes. I think the violin thing sucks, but other than that, yeah.

For a 20 min piece, it is decent. He is a bit too skinny though. Hasn't been eating his sunlight lately. He should be a little more thicker. Also the eye placement is a little off (his left eye from his view), yes I know, it's the only place you could put the eye. But making him a bit thicker would suffice, and give you enough space to replace the eye.

And you were on the ticket about the violen. It is a bit too straight as well as the violen itself isn't the best. Also if you look closely his left hand is holding the violen, yours looks like it is standing it up from the back. Also the nuts at the end of the stick (if you are immature, please refrain from laughing) are too brownish. If you look at the original picture they are sorta redish.

Other than that, good job. I will give full review when you are completly finished with it.

Also for future entrys, can you please not give the unfinished work. I'd like it if you were to give the finished piece and that alone. If not I would review it...tell you what to improve on...and you'd come back with a perfect sprite. Infact...it'd be best if you PM it to me and I would PM it to the other judges. This is to keep security from anyone wanting be 'inspired' by your piece. Because all in all, if you were to see the competition before you even started, you'd fix all the mistakes they made. Then again I must get permission from Stoopid....may it be possible for this to happen?

My proposal helps from 'rebuilding' anothers sprites.

Well yeah i didn't know about the poses thing, so I wasn't expecting to have to do some. Thats why it wasn't finished. BUT, thanks for the tips!

I wasn't talking about you. Rather to some of the other people out there. When finished PM it to me instead of posting it. Wouldn't want people ripping off your good work now would you?

More poses, sprites, and decorations= the better score. Turning in one sprite, not going to get as much as someone who worked hard and turned in a whole sprite sheet. You can do as many as you want, the prettier and more you have, the better.

The best spriter should be able to make a whole sprite sheet....and I do think the person who worked the hardest should be rewarded the title.

Sorry some of the things aren't showing up on my Cpu, nice Job GoldStud but his arm is a little weird and make more Pose's or you won't win and as a Judge I can't fovor any one in this contest and nether sould the other judge's
