Sprite Comic Archive.
Greetings, mortals. The purpose of this thread is to archive sprite comics by author. This will benefit not only the reader, who can easily access older, out-of-date comics by their favorite authors, but it will also help the sprite comic creators so that they will not have to worry about the older sprite comic series they worked on so laboriously going into oblivion, so that they can no longer be enjoyed by new readers. BEFORE POSTING HERE, PLEASE READ THESE RULES:
Mr. Fish's Sprite Comics: The Adventures of Mr. Fish and Penguin Finished Sprite Comics in Series: 23/23 Description: A wise fish and a blissfully ignorant penguin take a break from their psychology practice to take a vacation traveling among various video game worlds and having many wacky adventures. My first sprite comic, so the first dozen or so are atrociously bad. I recommend reading only the last several, perhaps. Read the others at your own caution. The Misadventures of Link Cancelled Indefinitley (co-author: Blizzaga) Sprite Comics in series: 5 Description: What begins as a prank by Zelda to drive Link away from the castle turns into an epic adventure filled with comedic happenings in this Zelda II parody. Mr. Fish and Penguin: Friends Forever In Development Sprite Comics in series: 5 Description: This sprite comic series is about a wise but unlucky fish and a blissfully ignorant penguin that live together in a tall building in a big city, where they both are certified psychological therapists. One of the few sprite comics that has pretty much nothing to do with video games, if you're looking for something new. So there you go. Feel free to add your own creative ways to highlight your series in your post (maybe a visual sample or ratings it has recieved), and remember to keep editing. |

Sonic Team Heroes -Canceled Comics in Series: 1 Description: After the events of Sonic Heroes, Sonic and company takes a much needed vacation on Angel Island. But the peace doesn't last for long when a badnick robs Sonic of his chili dog in order to grab the hero's attention. The Misadventures of Link -Canceled - Co-authored by Mr. Fish Comics in Series: 5 Description: What begins as a prank by Zelda to drive Link away from the castle turns into an epic adventure filled with comedic happenings in this hilarious Zelda II parody! The Misadventures of Link is the result of two great spriters joining forces and working together to bring about a comic beyond the ordinary. Super Mario X -Status: Undecided Comics in Series: 1 Description: Nearly a year of peace has passed in the Mushroom Kingdom, but that peace is about to be tested as old rivalries flare up once more, kitchen appliances are stolen, and the threat of an attack from the evil King Koopa remains a constant shadow of fear. ![]() EPISODE I: VORTEX OF WORLDS Chapter I: Levels: 8 Description: A vortex opens up in Hyrule, engulfing the Triforce. Link jumps in after it, and finds himself in the last place anyone would expect. The Mushroom Kingdom. With the Triforce of Courage in the hands of Luigi (The green guy with the funny hat) the Triforce of Wisdom in the hands of Peach (The pink princess who always gets kidnapped) and the Triforce of Power in the hands of Bowser (The King of Evil), Link must live a familiar adventure, in a not so familiar way. Aided by Navi and Mario, followed by Toad and a random hammer bro, and facing Thwomps, Goombas, and Bob-ombs, Link must reunite the Triforce, and discover the secret behind...the Vortex of Worlds! Note: It gets better as it goes...hopefully! Style: This comic does include humor, and I try to add as much humor as seems plausible to the story of the comic, but unlike many comics this comic is not based on humor, and has an actual serious storyline and plot to it. Some levels may only include humorous events that don't truly further the story, but only when it makes sense and doesn't interfere with the story. Some levels may not be very funny at all, but usually do further the story. Post-script: I used the word "episode" more in the same way you would for a video game. It doesn't refer to an individual comic, but to the whole thing. Then it is further broken into chapters, like some games are, and then into "levels" which is each new edition to the comic. |

The Legend of Zelda: A Dark Shadow
Currently under work An evil is approaching, far greater than Ganondorf. Far greater than Vaati. Far greater than even Majora's Mask. It has only one desire: to rid the world of Link and conquer Hyrule. Link will need seven keys, a cast of lovable friends, and a lot of humour to survive! Number of comics: 3/?? I have a feeling the number may be going up into the 40s!

GoldStud
(not in chronological order)
LoZ- Battle for Hyrule This Project Has Been Abandoned 3 episodes total- some missing, will update soon Description- My one serious comic! This is a very dark, plot-thick Zelda comic (featuring Custom Link sprites made by myself) set in Hyrule. A villianous clan has quietly stepped into power, and great famines go throughout all the land. Link, known as Green, begins traveling to return some cake (one of their few remaining sources of food, extremely valuable in the starving nation) to a neighboring village from which his father (played by Cyrus from Chrono Trigger) stole it, only to find out that he murdered a young girl to avoid being caught. The girls brother, Red (also Link) is a local hero who fends off the all-too-common-these-days monsters. He finds out that Green is the son of his sister's murderer, and he hunts down Green and the meet in the middle of a forest. The fight ensuing leaves Green nearly dead at the bottom of a river (he is saved by a fairy) as Red travels on to Green's village to seek revenge on Green's Father. Green's father cannot tell Red from his own son (there only unique attributes are the colors of their clothing) and is caught off gaurd when he is attacked by whom he thinks is his own son. They fight, and it soon seems that Green's Dad is the superiour fighter. After a long battle he has Red pinned to the ground with his sword to Red's neck. He is about to deliver the finishing blow, but then drops the sword to the side, saying, "I cannot kill my own son." Red picks up the fallen sword and stabs green's dad through the face. Okay, so maybe it didn't make it that far, but that was the plan. Go read it. They Call Him Link Discontinued!? I also really want to continue this series as well 2 episodes total. Description- this is possibly my favorite comic ever. I loved the style and it was really fun to make. This comic is also really likely to get continued. It just starts on a miscellaneos adventure of Link (in the form of my Oot Custom Link) as he faces off with some fun zelda enemes from a Link to the Past. There are 2 episodes, even if I mislabeled them so don't be fooled. Anyone here should read these. One of those Things you Read, you know, with the Pictures Holy Abandoned this Project Is- but after seeing it, It's On The List Description- This comic had only 1 episode, making it one of the shortest series' ever. It was a joint comic between Link (as seen in Link's Awakening) as well as Super Mario All-Stars Luigi and Mario. In this comic, unstead of the usual idiot personality, Link was evil and the competent one of the group. I think this comic had a lot of potential, and is really worth reading, now that I see it again. Few people have read this one, so go check it out! ManZelda and the Mega Princess This Comic has been Abandoned 5 episodes total. Description- Looking for the Land of the Zoras, Link (as seen in Link's Awakening) along with his fairy stumble upon the world of Megaman X. Link watches as Megaman and Zero founder while trying to battle equally incompetent Mavericks. I really liked this comic until I changed the format when I got Photoshop, which took some of the fun out of it. Although, episode four has some sweet panels in it. It will entertain you, that I'm sure of. The Big War Going On Inside Your Nintendo Right Now! This Project May Still Be Continued, Depending 7 episodes total. Description- The World of Nintendo is in an uproar! Apparently, this all started from a minor dispute between Bowser and MetaKnight that escalated into an all out war. It begins as the inhabitants of Nintendo flock to either side for an all out war. Don't be fooled- this is anything but a serious comic. From Mexican Ghosts to self-destruction reploids, this major crossover comic was probably my best series. I'm thinking of continuing it seriously, more so after writing this. Trigger Happy- A Chrono Trigger Comic Currently Under Construction Description- A comic look at the story of Chrono Trigger in comic form. It starts up in the same way the game does, with the words: Crono? Wake up, Crono? A series of major twists follows. Definately not my best, but it's photoshop-pretty. ![]() Arf! 6 Episodes Total Description- Arf is a comic based on the Square-Enix game Chrono Trigger. The main character is Crono, a punk-headed kid who wakes up to find furniture falling from the sky. Frog, half frog, half man, joins up with Crono to search for the source of the rain of furniture. The superb graphics and acclaimed humor will definately impress even the most sceptical reader. The Koopa Bros. 5 Episodes Total This project is not currently being pursued. Description- The Koopa Bros! A comic born in MS Paint. Follow 3 Koopas through Nintendo Landscapes as they encounter characters from ZU Forums! Plenty of Evil Clouds, Smashings, Bagels and more for readers of any age. Chrono Link 4 Episodes Total This project is not currently being pursued. Description- The Hero Link jumps from a cliff in order to fulfill a prophecy, and is flung into the world of Megaman X! He comes upon the scene of Sigma's grisly murder, and after a fight with Zero meets the Random Group of Thugs. Sure to please anyone from ages 3 to 43. The Comic of When They Were Kids 3 Episodes Total This project is not currently being pursued. Description- A comic showing the childhood experiences of Kindergarten nintendo characters. Short, newspaper-styled comics which are a good read for anybody short on time. |

I-mag's Comics.
Majora's Rebirth: Finished 25 Episodes Description: Link obtains Majora's Mask, and meets Kafei and Dark Fierce Deity. Together, they all go on a quest for nothing, which ends up turning into a battle against evil. Axel and Maple end up joining Link, and then he later gets Betrayed by Axel. Majora comes back and then there's the big climatic battle. My first comic... It sucks. ___________________________ Imag's Story: Discontinued 12 Episodes Description: Continues after Majora's Rebirth, Link and I-mag have become ninjas, and they work for a secret organization. When their leader becomes assassinated, they join a "guild" with Link XI and some Fire Emblem people. They start traveling to other worlds, and then they get into some trouble. My second comic. Discontinued. ___________________________ Bloodmage and I-mag: Discontinued 3 Episodes Description: A comic made by me and Surio, I-mag sets out after Ganondorf to stop him from getting the Fierce Deity's mask, and meets Bloodmage, Surio's author character who was at Chuckie Cheese's trying to get a Stuffed Pig... They set out to try to stop Ganondorf... It's discontinued for now, because Surio and I are never together to make them... Maybe one day they'll be re-continued... |

Re: Sprite Comic Archive.
Linkmaster30000 (LM30K)
![]() Complete Number of episodes: 150 (not including guest strips and extra stuff) Plot: The four Links (GBA Green, SNES Red, GB Blue, and NES Purple) are looking to save Princess Zelda from the forces of evil (of course - this always happens). However, they find out that more worlds than Hyrule are in danger. They set out on a quest to save Mushroom Kingdom, Dreamland, Kanto, World of Balance (Final Fantasy VI), Robotropolis, Zebes, and 20XX (MegaMan), save the four Maidens of Destiny, and defeat the Ultimate Evil, Zopyros, in the dark world of Zarxis. Main Characters Green Link (GBA) - The leader of the Links, since nobody else wants to. Wishes he was an animal. Red Link (SNES) - Enjoys learning and researching other cultures. Probably the most normal of the four. Blue Link (GB) - Likes to perform music, even though he's horrible at it. Also has a slightly higher IQ than a mature brick. Purple Link (NES) - Hates everything except cooking and fire. Usually makes fun of everything. Kirby - Swallowed Ezlo and became Sword Kirby. Tries to keep the Links in check, with little results. Mario - The legendary plumber. Tries hard to prove who he is, but gets frustrated easily. Dave (Pokemon Trainer) - A Pokemon trainer. ...That's about it. Edgar Figaro - A king and an arrogant jerk. Tries to pass himself off as The Chosen One. Samus Aran - A bounty hunter who has no emotions. Mostly just zaps things to keep things moving. Sonic the Hedgehog - A speedy hedgehog who's even more arrogant than Edgar. Hates Mario. Shadow the Hedgehog - Sonic's double with amnesia. A bit loopy due to crashing into the earth. MegaMan - An idiot who tries to make himself look better than he is. Hated by all. Graphics: This comic is made almost entirely in MS Paint. There are some special effects in some of the later comics using MS Photo Editor, Print Shop, and PhotoShop, but the quality of the comic remains "lackluster" on purpose. I could easily create a nice, pretty comic using PhotoShop and GIMP and have beautiful artwork, but that's not what the comic is about. AotL is a poorly made, quasi-epic comic, and that's often the joke of the series ("Sorry - this is all we could afford."). Its focus is not on the graphics (which suck), but instead on the humor and the plot (which are substantially better). Humor: Most of the humor comes from the games themselves and the weirdness surrounding them. Some of the humor is derived from sources such as Monty Python, Rodney Dangerfield, the Marx Bros, Da Yoopers, and other cultural references (Jerry Falwell, for example). There is also quite a bit of humor coming from the production team and quality, which often leads to epic boss battles being missed completely or partially. Content Rating: PG (no swearing, no blood) Project Start Date: June 2nd, 2005 Project End Date: March 29th, 2008 ![]() In Progress - Currently on Chapter 1 Episodes: 15 Plot (as of Episode 15): Green discovers that Zopyros (the main villain of the first adventure) is still alive. After finding the other Links, the four heroes go off to find the 10 Ancient Parchments that seal the powers of Zopyros' master. Main Characters: Green Link (GBA) - The leader of the Links, since nobody else wants to. Bomberman - Mostly just enjoys blowing stuff up. Maybe a little bit too much. ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? Graphics: AotL2 follows in its predecessor's footsteps by having no budget and focusing on humor more than art. This is mainly due to continuity, jokes, and time constraints for finishing the comic. Humor: Mostly the same as the first season (games, culture, and quality), along with references to that season. In this sense, it would be wise to read up on the first season before starting the second (even if it is quite long). Content Rating: PG (no swearing, no blood) Project Start Date: July 18th, 2008

Link to the Laughs
Link to the Laughs
A plot-driven sprite comic that parodies Link to the Past, Link to the Laughs is my current graphics art project. I usually put out one episode per week. The art style and comic format is inspired by 8-Bit Theatre. Zelda Universe Thread I should have a separate website for the comic up soon, I'll correct this post when I do. 11 Episodes so far.
