A Pocket Monster comic with actual Pocket Monsters! This would probably be a first for me!

I heavily disagree. I can tell that thought and creativity were put into this sprite comic. For instance, the second panel sets the mood of the scene (old, abandoned, and you could easily imagine birds chirping and/or the breeze blowing). It is also a fade-in from the first panel, which shows technique; moreover, it shows the author's creativity. If you combined the second and third panel, the transition betwen the first and now fused panel would be too sudden, dull, and lazy. As a student of videography, I have learned that transitions are very important and can be used in other works of art besides movies. Also, comics are related to movies with the fact that they are basically storyboards with word balloons. The reference to Bilbo Baggins with the butter over too much bread is not the case here.

I highly disagree yet again. Panel five is important for two (if not more) reasons:
One: It suggests motion between itself and panel six. A definate plus.
Two: Panel five is suspensful in an exciting way. Is Bulbasaur going to touch the shiny? Shoud he run away? Will he fall into a pit or trigger a giant boulder to chase him Indiana Jones style? Though you could probably guess what's going to happen, the excitement of suspense is still there. You never know when the author will trick the reader.
As you can see, keeping these two panels apart makes things more interesting. To combine them would be dull and lazy. Also, the comic wouldn't be as smooth of a read as it is now. I'm for smooth reading instead of wondering what the heck happened to trigger an action between panels.
Overall, I really liked your comic. I don't think I've ever seen a sprite comic that mixed Zelda with Pokémon. As a fan of both, I find it an interesting mix. To me, the eighth panel was rather humorous. My only real complaint is that the action in panels three and four. I think it would have been awesome to show a close-up view of the shiny between those two panels. Though such a technique is not needed, it would definately add spice while removing doubts about what the heck Bulbasaur is running to. I also felt that the "when it goes away" was uneccessary because panel nine reinforces and is reinforced by the second panel it terms of the place being quiet and deserted once more. That could also have been helped by having panel nine just like panel two (without anything) and have Squirtel show up the very next panel. But since you reached the end of the comic and probably don't want an uneven amount of panels, I completely understand.
Keep up the good work! I'm looking forward to seeing how this comic goes. Also, if you have any questions and/or need any help with Photoshop, don't hesitate to send me a PM! I have Elements 3.0, so you should be right up my alley. I'd be glad to be of service.
