Sprite help

I was wondering if someone could help me with shading... I used a Link sprite I found and edited it... http://i108.photobucket.com/albums/n...donesprite.jpg

Kisiro: First, the edit is roughly good. Anway, lesse...Don't save it as a JPG, save it as a PNG, then I might be able to help...

Reign: Shading is really quite simple. First, choose where you want the light to be. Say it's coming from the right. So, you'd put a darker shade of the color to the left. Just make sure it's darker. (Or, put a lighter shade on the right.)

Add wrinkles. Just think of curtains, like in your window, and do that to your hangy robe. And add shading aroind the hood, but leave a row of light colored right by the outline by the hair. It'll make it look more real and thick.

I really don't know how to do much... That's my first attempt at anything doing anything spritie..
