Do you feel third-party franchises should be kept in the Smash series?

Do you feel that the Metal Gear series and the Sonic series should become Smash regulars?
Or should they bring in new third-parties for each installment?
Perhaps they should just make it Nintendo-only again?

The Boss and liquid snake. *Metal gear games
Ryu hayabusa, Kasumi. *Dead or Alive Games
MegaMan and Zero. *Megaman Games
Goku and Trunks are welcome. &DBZ games

...I'm cool with all Nintendo again. Sonic was/is gay, and I wouldn't miss snake at all, though the music is awesome... I mean, there are plenty of Nintendo characters that I'd like to see above any of the 3rd party characters...

Snake was a shameless ploy to boost metal gear sales. I hope he dies. Sonci was cool, cause fact is he and mario were the two big names in platformers and I'd like to see him come back. He deserves a second shot.

There are also some other third parties that could definitely work. None come to mind currently but increasing the roster is always good.

I didn't feel like Snake fit in very well in brawl. I don't think he should be in the next one. I do however, like the third party support. Sonic fit in nicely. A few more characters from the franchise would do well in the next smash.
I would love to see megaman. They could very easily have that work.
I also wouldn't mind having someone like Lloyd Irving in it. His move set could just be a few moves from Symphonia, and I think it would work out pretty well, though i don't see it happening.

Any third party character should have a history with Nintendo, which Snake did. So no Resident Evil characters but Megaman would be fine because of his Nintendo career.

That can't stop using 3rd party characters until I can play as Soma Cruz.

Seriously, they give me Soma and I'm content for life.

**** Soma, I want my goddamn Alucard. ;-; I mean, we had Sonic and Mario, who in their days were the kings of platforming, now we need a Metroidvania showdown with Samus against Alucard.

But anyway, I think 3rd parties are fine so long as they have a history in Nintendo. Snake was there because Kojima personally asked for it. I doubt it would have increased Metal Gear sales, seeing as SSBB and MGS4 are on different consoles.

Screw Sonic, he sucks. More Metal Gear, please. Also, Castlevania. If Pit can get in, one of the Belmont's can.

Soma's cool, get him too.

Banjo and Kazooie... anyone? Probably the greatest addition there could possibly be.

King K. Roll would fit in greatly too, he's awesome.

Mega Man would be awesome too. Maybe lacking abilities, but still.

And yeah, Castlevania characters are nice.

I don't like Snake... But Sonic's nice. He's almost become a Nintendo character by now, so I'd say, let's keep him.

My SSB4 wishlist:

Sonic(returning), Megaman, Sora(or Roxas), Knuckles(as a sort of counter to sonic where one focuses on speed but the other focuses on power), Terra(from FF6), and Midna(i know she's not from a third party but i'd just like to see her in there).

No he wasn't.

Hideo Kojima is a good friend of Sakurai, and he wanted Snake to be in Super Smash Brothers Melee, but by the time he asked and was willing to loan the character, Melee was too far in production.

And Metal Gear does not need Brawl to "boost it's sales." For one, the markets are COMPLETELY different, and two, Metal Gear has a well-sized fanbase and MGS4 had enough hype as it was.

King K. Rool is not a third party character. He's still owned by Nintendo.

-Mega Man
-Travis Touchdown
-Leon S. Kennedy
-The Prince (Sands of Time version)

Snake didn't fit into the cast, that's exactly what made him fit in.

I want sonic back in. If they have to add anymore 3th party characters, I'd hope for Soma Cruz, and maybe Leon S Kennedy(as a replacement for snake)

I know it would never happen, but Cloud from FFVII would be cool, along with Squall from FFVIII. Maybe Cecil from FFIV could be in. He has the FFIV remake for DS and FFIV: The After Years. So maybe that could happen.

But I wouldn't mind a few third party characters. What I DON'T want is it to be full of them, like what some people want. Smash is a game about Nintendo, by Nintendo.

I selected the first three options. Despite not being a Metal Gear nor Sonic fan, I found those franchises were awesome additions to SSB. And MegaMan is a must-have in a future SSB, I've heard Capcom even wanted him to be in Brawl, but there was no time (same happened with Snake in Melee).

As far as Final Fantasy guys, I'd like a Warriors of Light tag-team character.
And how can so many of you want more Sonic characters without mentioning Robotnik?
