Do you feel third-party franchises should be kept in the Smash series?

Sonic should definitely stay. I was so happy when they announced him.

If they are going to put in any other 3rd-party characters, it should be megaman. He should have been in brawl.

**** Soma, I want my goddamn Alucard. ;-; I mean, we had Sonic and Mario, who in their days were the kings of platforming, now we need a Metroidvania showdown with Samus against Alucard.

I want to see the following: Another FE character (Micaiah, Soren, Hector, etc), Simon Belmont, Waluigi, Daisy, Megaman, Big fat Pig Ganon (LoZ/ALttP style), TOAD, Dixie Kong, an Animal Crossing character, etc.

Yes third-party characters are awesome they should keep Snake and Sonic while adding in some new cross-overs.

Some I would like to see are

Castlevania (I prefer they bring in Simon Belmont, the original Vampire Killer)
Final Fantasy
StreetFighter
No More Heroes (Travis Touchdown)

If you're going to throw games out there, give them characters worth arguing about. Also, of the two games you showed me made by microsoft, they were in the end not great, and not really good games. So microsoft has abandoned the attempt.

Also, mind throwing in some 360 titles? There's actually a chance people will know what you're talking about then.

Call me a nitpicker if you will, but I can't let that slide for some reason. Yes I know he was in DoA, but I can't let someone say that's the series he came from, it just doesn't sit right with me. From 2000 to 2007 (when all three existing HALO games came out), Bungie was owned by Microsoft. And, even though they split, Microsoft still has the rights to HALO. HALO is a Microsoft property.

But you're right, Blinx and Fusion Frenzy are old and obscure. The first Xbox will always be more memorable to me than the 360, especially its failures. I chose bad examples. So here's a ****ing list of games made by Microsoft.

Meh, I still say that's bungie, not microsoft. Just because disney now owns marvel doesn't mean the X men and Spiderman etc will be considered 'Disney superheroes' They'll still be marvel.

Yes, because Metal Gear Solid was never popular before Super Smash Bros. Brawl and MGS has always had low sales. I honestly doubt the fact that Kojima and the creator of Brawl are very great friends.

I want Spider-Man, Haruhi Suuzmiya, Batman, and Spike from Cowboy Bebop in the fourth edition. I need new punching bags and this is very possible givng the fact that this isn't as retarded of an idea as Talhoffer's quote.

Characters from other 3rd parties give new moveset opportunities (and new characters, of course )

I think they should add people every time to make the game better every time.

I think 2 3rd party characters is enough. If we get more it becomes everyone vs. Nintendo thing. If anything leave it at Sonic and MGS series, if you must add more characters add them from there.

I think the addition of third-party characters is awesome. I think they should add more, but not go overboard. Like, keep to four or five or so third-parties.

I think Sonic and MGS should both stay, but I don't think that new parties should be added.

Considering how well Snake and Sonic fit into the game (only elitists would want no non-nintendo characters over something new) then I see no reason for them to leave.

As long as the characters have a history with Nintendo then it would be great, as long as they work as a character in the game.

I personally would like to see Krystal appear as a character, it would actually add a unique Starfox character to the mix, rather than 3 characters that are practically the same minus a few small tweaks

I think that they should keep adding 3rd party characters, but on one condition: For every 3rd party character, they add two Nintendo characters. This will make sure this doesn't turn into Nintendo vs. Sony or anything.

And I actually believe the only third-party characters added should have been involved with an Nintendo Console at one time. Snake and Sonic both had games for the Gamecube, so they can stay.

Hmmm... I would consider Megaman and Simon belmont, they are the most indicated...

So... I think more third party companies should be added in the next title...

I think that they should make it nintendo exclusive and focus on putting as many first party exclusives as possible!
