Brawl is horribly unbalanced as it is. I don't see one or two characters getting better without ridiculous buffs while the other characters in the game exist.
With Meta and Snake around, it'd be impossible to make Link and Ganondorf good without breaking them, or completely changing the way they play.

Suggested Changes: Add a little bit of side momentum too the spin attack. Okay, a lot. Also, increase the range of the Hookshot from either double to triple. Make him fall a little slower and make it so that when other players besides Link pick up Links bombs, the bombs explode.

Link needs alot more distance from the Spin Attack. The Hookshot needs to get longer, yeah.
And the bomb idea doesn't really matter. If you're good, you won't let your opponent grab his bombs.
What Link really needs are more reliable attacks. His attacks are extremely laggy and don't have much power in return.

His Weaknesses: His recovery moves also suck. And frankly, his movesets don't make a whole lot of sense. In the games, he has a lightning-ball-like projectile, but in SSBB he does not have one. In the games he can hover, but in SSBB he can't. Warlock Punch makes no sense.
|
His moveset making no sense shouldn't be a weakness. >_> But Ganondorf's main weakness is his lack of movement options. I guess the developers thought that making Ganondorf go forward with the Ganon Kick was good enough, but they didn't realize that lack of hitstun makes it so that
getting hit by the attack is actually better than dodging it, because then you can hit Ganondorf with a stronger attack.

Remember: Good Nerfing isn't making strong characters weaker: It's making weak characters stronger.
|
Nerfing is making a character worse.
Buffing is making a character strong.
So, "Good Nerfing" is just buffing. >_>

Every character has his weaknesses, but the point of this topic is that Ganondorf and Link have TOO MANY weaknesses, and TOO LITTLE strengths. Anyone who plays Brawl and doesn't realize how blatantly bad Link and Ganondorf are is blind.

Ganondorf is terribad. He needs more than that. He needs movement options, not moveset options.
