Question to those who have played the Tingle game

So I really want to play the Tingle game. But seeing as how my country hates Tingle, I have to deal without unless I can find it at a place that specializes in imports or something.

What I wanted to know is just how closely this game feels like a Zelda game, if at all. I don't mean does it play like a Zelda game or anything like that. I wanted to know if the atmosphere of the world in the game was anything like the world of Zelda, or the characters, or any other elements of the game for that matter? From what I gather, Rupees and fairies are elements that can be found in the game, but what else is there?

By Jove, I think this may be the most hostile forum I have been on.

There are dungeons and a very weird form of fighting. Some characters don't really open up to you unless you pay them a certain price, but you can sell them things, too. The whole thing is complicated by the fact that Rupees are both your currency and life.

Re: Question to those who have played the Tingle game

It does have zelda elements in it, yes. But it's different. I liked it way more than Phantom Hourglass because it really is something new and fun.
If you have a hard time on the game use this:
http://www.importgamers.com/tingle/
Tells you how much to pay/ask for everything, where to find stuff, etc.

Re: Question to those who have played the Tingle game

The game has adventure but you collect rupees in it in a very different way that you would in Zelda games. The style is not so much Zelda but rather one of it's own. It's a good game even that it does revolve around making more money but it can be taken as great criticism towards capitalism and that's always good not to mention that it's probably the reason it wasn't released in the USA. The game actually surprised me in a positive manner and I have enjoyed playing it through more than just once. Even that Tingle can bee seen as a shallow, greedy fairy wannabe the game isn't that shallow itself. Like Rojinshu said it is something new and fun.

First time through I didn't use any help for guessing how much you have to pay to people or how much you can get as an reward, but it makes it easier and you can kep to minimun losses and maximum gains that way so http://www.importgamers.com/tingle/ is a good place for getting help. But I recommend that you don't use help for he fees on your first time. It's more exiting that way.

No, they had a poll and the majority voted no out of their hate for Tingle. Selfish bastards.

Re: Question to those who have played the Tingle game

yes it does have zelda feels to it including some dungeon sounds (door opens, item get) it will have you laughing so hard sometimes and, for some reason every time I switch off my DS I get greedy. Look, you can get it from amazon.co.uk for £15.o0 = $ 30.00 if you want, you can check how much it costs exactly in American Money, paypal me it and I'll send it to you for no profit (Yes Im that big of a zelda fan that I do favours )
