Ike: A Brawl Guide to Using the Crimean Hero v.2

Actually, Captain TMS is one of the best Snake players I know. I never got to improve my techniques against him though because he stopped appearing online. xP

When TMS was around and regularly playing Brawl, he was one of the best here. If you ask me, only Kitsune and IGNIS would've been better than him.

Ranil's advice for taking on Snake is either faulty, or poorly constructed based on watching TMS. Because that strategy with Ike wouldn't beat his Snake.

Well, then what would you all suggest I put in there that will work?

And you didn't mention anything about how to deal with Snake's tilts or MKs ariels. You really just said to counter MKs tornado... as if a good MK will spam their tornado... also...

MK... a chain grab whore? Sure his first D-Throw can be chained into a second on some characters... but that hardly makes him a CG whore.

You mentioned nothing about MKs godly ariel game.

First off, I did mention Falco's lasers.

Second, there's really no way to counter MK when it comes to his aerials, at least not to my knowledge yet. I'll put something in whenever I figure out something good.

Here's a hint: Go to Smashboards

Countering MKs aerial attacks is easy when you practice. Just dodge and hit.
But here's the trick: dodge slightly (and I cannot stress that enough) before you normally would. Too early, and you look retarded and get your ass handed to you. Too late, and you look stupid and get your ass handed to you.
After the dodge, he'll probably try to strike again, so go with another dodge. This way, if he doesn't attack, then he definitely will after this dodge. That's when you use counter.

^What if he tries to do Mach Tornado? Yeah you would lose automatically unless you are lucky and can cut it off.

I don't use it to get better. Only for somewhere to go for some Brawl chat. Although, I have seen some nice vids that have helped me there, but only by chance.

Or, he just spams shuttle loops if you try doing that so if you dodge the ridiculous knockback of it, he hits you on the way back with the 0-lag flying attack followed by whatever (mach tornado, another shuttle loop, dsmash, fair...)

Any decent MK can beat a good Ike. Ike is pretty much hopeless against MK, so develop a good second to counter MK (Perhaps use Mk vs MK).
