How often do you taunt in any SSBB?

How often do you taunt while playing online? in what situations? how do you feel when other people taunt YOU?

I like to taunt a lot......Since I main with Sonic, i'll use "come on, step it up!" when challenging someone to approach, or after I ko'ed my enemies with my partner in an awesome fashion. Or, "You're too slow!" in more rare occasions after i get the smash ball and before using it.....really cocky i know!! Or if i'm just feeling light spirited, for no reason i'll do his "flip n grin" taunt.

I know it may annoy some people, as I tend to use it a lot, but it brings fun and spirit into the game! When someone taunts ME, I feel a bit annoyed and hurt, but it motivates me to try harder, which leads to success a lot. Basically, i like it because it brings fun and heated competition into the game, as well as some humour!

Although, even I don't like the people who keep on spamming taunts over and over EVERY TIME an opponent dies. but hey, it leaves them open right?

I don't usually use the actual "taunt" button, except if it's a really cool or "classic" taunt, like Captain Falcon's "Show me your moves" thing.

With my main, King DeDeDe, I usually do his ducking move after a kill. I find it to be an adequate substitute :>

I usually just crouch up and down. I occasionally taunt.

I taunt every time my opponent loses a life, if I can.
Usually my taunts are some kind of sexual thing, like "I'm coming!" or "I win, now lay down"

Please try to elaborate on your posts people, WHY and in WHAT situations do you taunt? what do you feel about it in general?

I taunt every time I lose a life by doing something stupid or when I knock off a stock.

i'm talking about anonymous online, where you can't put tags above you when you taunt.

Ouch, oh well. I find the attempt at an insult towards me empowering, so that once I mercilessly attack my opponents, i feel warm and fuzzy inside in a cruel in sick way But we all know it's all in good fun.

I rarely ever taunt. I usually just run away from the middle of stage so the other player can't get an invincibility hit on me.

I don't get affended by taunts either, I mean they are just people saying premade things

I taunt alot. When I score a KO, I do about 1 taunt, maybe 2. When I score a really good KO, I taunt 2-3 times.

Finally going to just go ahead and break my 1000 posts status.

Used to, I'd taunt every time I KO'd an opponent. Only once. But things happened, and my Wii broke, and it took two months til I figured out how to fix it. Now I have it back, and I keep forgetting which taunts are which now. Only one of my taunts is really noteworthy, and I really have no idea where this came from. It's, "What now, son?". I don't know if I heard it somewhere or what, but that's my favourite taunt. The others consist of, "Whee!" (for when people just randomly fly), "Not so easy, is it?" (for the often times when someone tries to use my main's special abilities against me, PK Missile for example), and "FAIL" (for when nothing else describes how horribly you died).

Every chance I got. Hell, I even risk a taunt or three after someone dies.

I use "**** lag" the most, for obvious reasons. Most often when me or my opponent is KOd in a ridiculous way.

"lolwtf" if something stupid/hilarious/random happens.

"HAI HOE SILVER" if I manage to pull off something nice, like a very decent KO.

My brother controls the taunts on our game anyways, and if I go changing them he gets mad at me, plus I don't care about them that much.

Come to think of it I down taunt whenever I get a mortar smash or a really powerful k0.
