SSBB Boring after Subspace Emissary
I haven't played Brawl in months. I find it to be very boring once you beat The Subspace Emissary once and unlock all the characters. It seems to have lost its charm almost entirely for me now. If a friend asks me if I want to play Brawl, I'll just about always say no. It just seems no fun anymore. Does anybody else feel this way? Or at least think it gets boring after you beat TSE once?

Re: SSBB Boring after Subspace Emissary
Hell no. I did the Subspace Emissary and still found the game very fun after that. You must not have done much afterwards if you find it boring. Didn't you ever try making stages with the stage builder? Play multi-man Brawls? Play Boss Battles? Play a tourney? Screw around in the coin launcher? Take hilarious photos in your matches?
It's loads of fun for me! ![]()

The Subspace Emissary itself is boring.

It gets better once you're done with the damn Subspace emissary.

And since the levels are all pretty much the same you deserve some sort of medal for pointless repetition.

Re: SSBB Boring after Subspace Emissary
Lady Ranny: I hate making stages. It takes too long and I'm can't seem to be creative when it comes to making them. As for the coin launcher, it's a fun thing to do, but I don't find playing the game worth it if I'm just going to be doing that. I love the boss battles. That's probably the only fun part about playing the game now. But even that's not fun to do for long, especially if I die when there are only a couple bosses left. I don't take lots of hilarious photos anymore because I don't find doing matches to be as fun as it always has been anymore. I wish there could have been two or three different adventures. Or at least make TSE in two or three parts, with a final boss for each, and you need to complete the previous one before you can play the next.

Re: SSBB Boring after Subspace Emissary
Subspace Emissary was one of the first things I completed when I first got Brawl. There are so many things you could do after that, though, like the Events, Multi-Man Brawl (15-minute brawl is a joy), Boss Battles on Intense, break the Targets, and just so much more. So no, I didn't think Brawl got boring after the SE, and I've beaten the SE up to four times. o_o

Oh yeah I forgot about event matches! I completed all of them already though...
Still, everything else is so much fun.

Re: SSBB Boring after Subspace Emissary
What mainly makes my blood boil is that Sora slacked off while designing the Subspace Emissary and just pasted the original levels into one massive level. In fact, they knew they could slack off because the simple-minded amongst us would still buy a game as long as it's labeled "Nintendo."

Re: SSBB Boring after Subspace Emissary
That's funny, because the SubSpace Emissary was quite possibly one of the most boring and tedious parts of the game for me.

Re: SSBB Boring after Subspace Emissary
Subspace isn't even the major part of the game, that's the multiplayer. They devote most of their time to multiplayer advances, because they want monies. That's why most people play Brawl anyways.

Re: SSBB Boring after Subspace Emissary
The Subspace was a quite better version of the adventure mode from Melee. Mostly because you don't have to complete it with one character at a time, with over 20 f***ing characters to choose from.
That was... basically it. It holds no real replay value, no other purpose than to be completed in order to unlock Boss Battles (and whatever characters you need unlocked) and just get it over and done with. That's it. No more, no less.

Brawl is still fun after Subspace.
Have you tried Free-For-All with 4 people and all items? That can be crazy sometimes... |

Re: SSBB Boring after Subspace Emissary
Yeah, because people want to unlock their characters as fast as possible.

Re: SSBB Boring after Subspace Emissary
Well, yeah, it's the fastest way to unlock all the characters, unless you were like me and simply brawled your eye sockets out with others to unlock most of the roster (which is a slow way to go about it, anyway). =/
SSE was total crap for me. I didn't like it; it's as simple as that. Not even the cutscenes were anything to go on about. I quit halfway through. Pretty much any part of a game that feels like a chore is more than likely something I'd rather avoid. |

Re: SSBB Boring after Subspace Emissary
I actually100% completed it a few times, but my disc suffered the same fate as my original copy of Twilight Princess. It has un-fixable scratches that cause the Wii to not be able to read cutscenes. And I don't feel like replacing a $50 disc for just the SSE. TP I had to because they're are non-skipable cutscenes.
